Loosing Boost / HP, can't repeat it though!

I've noticed whenever I drive roughly, a few smashes and time penalties my cars loose hp, permanently.

Even rebooting didn't help.

The only way to get HP back was to go back to school, and get an improved time....boost and HP then return to normal....

Anyone else experienced this?

Hope this feature is in GT4 as it encourages better driving

Thoughts?

Are you sure about the HP loss? does the HP rating in the arcade selection screen actually reduce?

I didn't check as I was so frustrated that the GTR was being swamped by the RX8 I'd passed, it was so weak the AI was romping away (whereas I was about 5 sec quicker per lap).

I'll try a repeat with the same cars (integra, GTR) at the same track (Fuji) and post results

Well I tried to replicate it again, to no avail, smash crash 10sec penalties everywhere, even drove the track backwards in wipeout mode...no hp drop or boost drop....

It did happen once....but not since...

oh well back to the clean race line :)

You sure you didn't get some dirt in your controller that wasn't allowing you to press the button fully or something?!?

Sounds 2 me like your controller needs looking at. That would be cool if that was the case, but I think it's more likely to be a problem with your DS2.

Cheers

It was weird though, the boost gauge didn't move and I was driving a normally aspirated, low compression 2.6, still revved, but no boost :boggled:

Thanks Toler that seems to be the most likely reason for HP loss, my last Logitech died after 7 months, this one seems like another **** up from the Logitech mob...better get my warranty card in real quick
