I am wondering if anyone already had the experience of
running a car in a long series and had this red oil led turned on.

For some reason the car is lossing HP after the series.
I just finish the series, clean up the car and change the oil
and compare the HP with a zero mileage car (the same).

For example, a have 2 F688/S and this are the facts:

F688/S - 2917.4 miles - 812hp (after oil change)
F688/S - 0 miles - 829hp (after oil change)

As you see, this first F688/S is running for a long time :-)

I drive, scratch that, Drove a 1989 saab 900 that came with 110hp. When it had 170k miles on it, before I jumped the ****er 40 feet, it definatly had under 100hp. As a car ages it losses hp, especially when oilchanges are neglected. Basically they kise compression through worn out seals and such. So, if your car has almost 3k miles it will lose some hp. Just the way it works. sorry :)

Yeah, I've learned you might as well change your oil after every run. It doesn't cost that much, (in the grand scheme of things), and it's safer than going into a series with the light allready on. What stinks is the light seems to come on too soon in some cars, or at least you can't change your oil during a series or enduro. I can see oil going bad quicker if you were only racing a car, but the F1's and such oughta have longer oil life etc.

throughout the amatuer series races, pro series races, and endurance races your oil led will come on and you will lose hp everytime at least if your in a 700+ hp car done it to me many times with many cars usually lost around 20 hp best thing to do is just change oil before entering series race and immediately after winning series race the only thing they could have improved upon is being able to change oil between races maybe well see that in gt 4

periods man, periods, and I mean puncuation ;) I nearly ran out of breath, even tho I was reading it in my head, hehehe oh wait, I don't think I've used one yet in this message :D (just playing man)

It's all about the period baby! (Crap... that back there was an exclamation point =) Correction: It's all about the exclamation point! And as far as HP loss goes, heck I dunno I've only had the game 2 days and havent driven a car over 70 miles! Hope that helps =/

right now i entered the gran turismo all stars in the pro mode and the total for that race is about 500 miles and im on the 4th race which is 15 laps of test track and my led will prob come on. Takes about 200-400 miles of driving before the oil light comes on.
