Lost Hope

I find threads like this vaguely amusing.

I've been playing GT5 basically non-stop from release. It is a disappointing game and I don't deny that I was disappointed with it, but I still really like it. I don't even race online that much; I just love to try out new cars and drive around.

I hope there will be a Spec III but please no physics change! I don't really care for any more DLC either. Let's leave all that for GT6. Spec III should be more aimed at using the content we do have in a better manner (like more racing events).

Agreed. Been playing almost from release date myself. Mostly racing online so I'll quickly discard cars that aren't "fast" enough. I've started racing offline recently-seasonals and my own Arcade events. I feel like I've just scratched the surface of GT5 cars. So many vehicles I've never spent any quality time in. DLC cars are stacked in my garage with 0 miles. 15 or more great custom tracks I've got from excellent track creators on GTP that sit undriven.

If you use some imagination and some of the parameters discussed in this thread, you can have an unlimited amount of events at your dispossal.

I too have lost hope for GT5, so Kaz may have said there was more DLC along the way but I don't believe it, so much stuff get's said and not done. I still log on each day, send a gift to my account and do the Academy Seasonal events but nothing more really. Still like the game of course, but am bored with it. Still enjoy the car collecting aspect of it though, may be in a position to buy a wheel later on this year so maybe that will renew my excitement for the game.

I'd just like to add that if I didn't have a wheel I think I'd have lost hope too. Gran Turismo doesn't work well without a wheel IMO (GRID was very good with the DS3).

Apart from the Academy starting on the first of May, with several free cars to be had...

I'm afraid your confusing a completely separate mini-game (which did not even require you to have GT5) as DLC for GT5. Also those cars are just existing cars with a sticker on them. If you consider that DLC then you have very very low standards indeed.

But what about fixing what 2.06 brought? I can't play the game anymore, it freezes when it's loading a track, I get the muted sound bug twice a day when in online lobbies, my car still gets drowned by oponent cars.

Apart from your car being drowned out by other passing cars, I think the problem lies within either your PS3 or disc, because I don't get any of those problems you've just listed above.

My wheel broke 2 days ago and I've been trying to repair it non-stop since. Once you've played GT5 with a wheel, it's no fun with a DS3.

i've had the game since release and its been on the same PS3 since then, never had any problem, in fact my game was pretty fast, but BS started after 2.06, so its the patch itself
