Errr... I think this lost it's original meaning in the translation process

That store sign looks interesting ... from what I read you can buy DVDs (unless you're a minor it also says) that may contain illegal material that could get you arrested, and the store warns that if that happens, you can't bring the DVD back to reclaim your money. I suppose that doesn't mean animal sex or anything, but just your average xxx movies, because those are illegal in Japan, as opposed to erotic animations, which are pretty much unrestricted! (Funny effect this has on cartoons ... ! I've watched a few of them. At times ... ehm ... pretty stimulating ... )

I reckon a Japanese or Japan expert here will correct me if I read this wrong.

Hey, I try to keep an open mind to different cultures. Did you know that in Japan they have these also in comic book form and you'll find people reading them on the streets and subways (if they're not too crowded that is).

Mind you, over there it's the full blown live people xxx stuff that's considered sick.

Yes I did know that. I've seen several of the mangas on sale before. I still think it's sick.
