Apparently.. as i was trying to duplicate my new or shall I say used.. BMW M3 GTR race car and I lost ALL my cars, game progress, and licences. I sent it to my scrap account and i deleted my main saved data. Then I went to my scrap account only to find out I forgot to send my saved original data to it so there was no GT5 data at all. *facepalm*. Im still thinking in my head I sent the data and Kaz fixed it somehow to not being able to exploit this wonderful delight. But.. it was my fault. Today is my birthday.. just turned from 2 hours ago and I felt like trying a few cars out for a little treat. Also I found out I had a duplicate of my Redbull X2010 Vettel in my scrap account HURRAY! Anyways sorry about the paragraph guys. I usually dont use this site instead I tend to stalk at the most :p . If any of you gentlemen would like an x2010 all I ask is for some starter cars preferably (Tuned) please. I have to really careful duplicating this time lol.. Hopefully I will bounce back anyways cheers :cheers: to me a great start for my birthday lol.
 
You can't copy your gamesave to another account, it has to be copied to a USB stick or other USB memory.

Yes you can. Aslong as that account does NOT have a saved game data :) thats how i do my duplicating...

Although you cannot access the data on another account as it says... ''You cannot use another users saved game data. Would you like to Overwrite?''
 
You can copy to another account as long as you do not load GT5 up in that account. The save data will be safe as it is not being used. If you use 3 accounts you can save your ££ file on account 2 , then with your own account buy a car and send it to account 3 account 3 uses it's own game save to accept the gift and send back to yourself. Now load the game save file from account 2 back on your main account which still has the money and accept your gift.
That is if you don't have a usb , but also incase your game save data gets corrupted on your main account it is wise to save it on another account. If you get YLOD well all are lost until it is fixed.

well i got the bmw m3 gtr race car which im dupin at moment for other people you interested but it will take time to trade as slots are taken up for a few days
let me know anyway would like the x2010 vettel or something else?

My mates got GT but has hardly had a chance to play it long enough to get decent cars. if i deleted his save file and put mine on his do you think it would work? He doesnt have inet in his flat.

I don't know is the answer. I've been meaning to try it with my mate I live with but haven't got round to it!. I'll try it and post back on this thread wether it worked in a day or 2 :)
 
You can't USE your save data on another PSN account is does not work, i tried.

Irrelevant.

The sensible way to backup saves is to an external device (in case the PS3 fails), but an alternative way is to use another account on the same PS3.

However, in most cases (so it is best to assume all) you must not load a game in the backup's account as it overwrites the backup save.

It Doesnt Automatically Overwrite!. It tells you it will have to once you press ok so you can simply just press 'Quit Game'.

I was asking because someone asked if you can use it on another PS3 system so the question isn't irrevelant!

You can try, but make sure you copy yours and his data to a usb stick. You cannot use the saved data on another user in the same system. It should work in another system and since your copying it to your friends it should be fine :) .
 
Same BS happend to all three of my accounts( main & two trading accounts). In the process of doing a Full Format of the HDD now.
