don't know what happened, as soon as i turned on the game, there is no more sound in the game no music no car sound effects, nothing. i thought i hit the mute button by accident but no it's just the game. anyone else experience this problem? i tried restarting the system.

Are you using the TV speakers or home theatre set up?

My TV does this from time to time. It *only* does it with the PS3, when I switch from the cable (HDMI 1) input to the PS3 (HDMI 2) input - about one time a month, there is no sound at all. Switching back and forth does no good. What I've found that DOES work is to just turn everything off and unplug the TV cord from the wall, leave it unplugged for about 30 seconds, plug it back in, and hold the "Power" button on the side of the unit (Westinghouse 1080p 42" LCD) for 20-30 seconds, and the whole TV will "reset". Works every single time.

Don't have any idea if that helps your situation or not, but it's just something to consider. When my PS3 loses sound, the TV itself, the DVD player, the Cable box, and the PS2 *all* still have sound. It has ONLY effected the PS3. I chalk it up to a quirk in the PS3 or a quirk in the TV. Or both. :)

happened to me this morning i turned my tv of and on and it got fixed mate

nah the speakers are fine, the main screen has sound, it's just the game itself.
