The V8 SE in stock form, right from the dealer (as in no oil or tires) can easily win the Polyphony Digital Cup.

Overall, it's a well rounded car. Although you might want to invest in the 350 instead. It can handle more power in a better fashion.

The 350's also a tad lighter, but the V8SE is pretty simmilar. I think that maybe the 350 has better (non adjustable) downforce with the big Lotus rear wing.

It requires thorough tuning, but once you are done with it, becomes one of the fastest fully modded street cars in the game. Crap brakes though.

he Lotus Esprit doesnt have crap brakes...it have a very unique braking character....its a race car in a road car disguise...

in order to brake for a corner you have to use a high braking setting in your setup and when approacing the corner, brake in a straight line as you approach it. you then steer round the corner once you have slowed down enough, this car wont drift and if you brake and turn a the same time you'll lose it. It has lightening quick accelleration out of the corners and thats where it can beat the competition.

its very fast and very controllable if you can tame it...its takes lots of practice but its a very rewarding car to drive..

the 350 is a better car but i prefer the SE V8 because you can choose the colour you want...a nice red with gold wheels look great on this car.

Yes, I have to agree with that all of the Lotus cars are great. Even the little Elise 190 (or is it 180?) is a great car to drive and mess around with. However, I do not have the Sport 350, only the V8 SE. However, I enjoy driving the V8 SE very much and it seems to me that it could conquer almost any other road car, except perhaps an expertly-driven RUF RGT. (I'm a RUF fan. :D )

i got the turbo 4 upgrade, and boosted it upto 995 HP..... .. and it reached a top speed of 252.5 MPH... pretty nice, im very much impressed with the acceleration of this car, i completed 0-400m , in 9.900 which is huge increase over the previous 11.40 i had got wit my viper. love it, gonna practise on it

stage 4 turbo?...

perhaps this is overkill...i prefer to site the SE V8 at roughly 600hp, that way you at least have a chance of turning it on tight hairpins...but thats my personal choice.:)

but with a stage 4 its a beast best lest loose on the test track...(like the wind)

ur saying that i have overpowered the car ? wit good adjustments im sure it will handle very well, so far ive been able to produce better lap times

TurboSmoke, yeah, I know you can only brake Espirit with Turbo4 in the straight line. And that's precisely what I meant when I said crappy brakes. RGT, R34, Zonda, Viper, VR-4 all feel like they have better brakes. I do not have any numbers to back this up except seat of the pants feel though.

the v8 se and 350 are so good, that with high speed drift setups they have competitions in my fastest lap score boards against my supras, they are well rounded but usually require a different setting than the the usual race setup.:)

no mate...not over powered...the Esprit can handle the power unlike a lot of cars...i just meant that my preference was not to max it out...

okay...lets sit back and admire...

thanks guys, i noticed the braking part... that u gotta brake the car in a straight line......... but a really fast car, haven't got a good hold of it, im downloading some road setups off the internet and see if it helps...

I drove the 350 for the first time last night. With a stage 3 turbo and good suspension settings this car is a monster. I like it.

It's an ace car,I used a fully tuned one in the British GT cup and won with ease it's best with the stage 2 or 3 turbo depending on setings imo.
