This Group 5 Lotus Europa is a sibling car to Zakspeed's more well-known Escort and Capri Group 5 machines.

The mid-engined Europa shared the same turbo-charged BDA engine seen in the Capri. It only entered in a handful of races and made it to the end in just one event.

It's always a wonder to see wideass, or wide ass, bodykits on such tiny cars.
 
We just need Gr.5's in general.

It's a Group 5 car, so it would automatically get vote, but...

I can't honestly believe nobody ever posted the Zakspeed Europa before, and I can't believe I never looked for it before. Such a mental car. This, possibly even more than more famous cars like the Porsche 935s and the BMW 320, is a perfect incarnation of the insane era of Special Production Cars.
 
Voted, as I can recall winning many slot-car races with a body that was based off of this wedged-shaped land missile.

I forgot I even liked this suggestion. Saw it on the main page just now, and thought to myself that this is the one Gr.5 car I've never seen in any video game, mod or not.
 
Wow. I've been trying to find out more about Group 5 the past few months, and had never seen a mention of this until now. Looks appropriately insane, and utterly unrecognizable as a Europa. You've got my vote.
