Hiya

Myself and freinds have met up quite regularly in a lounge I create

We have never had this before, but last night is the first time we have got together since the 2.04 patch

During the 6 races we did, it crashed 3 times at the Track loading screen. The bar would go across about half way and stop.
Everyone could talk, as host I could do everything except change any settings.

The ONLY way to resolve it was for everyone to leave and come back when I restarted the room

Has this happened to anyone else ?

How do I go about telling the powers at be or do they read these forums ?

Many thanks

Paul

Yeah that happened to me a few times, turns out it was just my mates slow internet connection because he left, room loaded, then he came back but his car was a bit laggy. And every time I had to change settings or track he had to leave then come back.

Yes this has been happening to me also, there is a patch coming this week which should fix these issues.

Ok thanks guys, have they acknowledged this as an issue or are you just assuming it will be fixed with the patch that patches the patch lol

If it freezes when loading, only the drivers who cannot move their cursor need to back out.

I dont think anyone had a frozen cursor, we all had the loading bar at 50% complete and stuck and all players on the RHS had that chequered bar under their name like when you first join the room

Ive been seeing this happen in rooms for months so until its actually fixed I wont believe they are looking at the issue.

Kazunori Yamauchi is aware according to his latest tweets, here is a [human] translation of the latest tweet:

Where is "January" in what Yamauchi says? I can't find it.

オンラインでの安定性が上がるはず。
Online [mode] stability is expected to improve.

We can only hope that they are listening and can make things better.

We have put up with sub par performance for way too long.

Online is my favorite way to enjoy the game and the disconnects and freezes have been frustrating to say the least.

PD have always been listening. However, everytime you mess with code, you're bound to break something else.

If fixing it were easy, you'd be doing it. As with everything GT, be patient.

+1 :)👍

This has been happening in pub shuffle lobbies too sometimes.
Indeed, I've seen it lobbies, but never saw it happen in a lounge.

The one guy I know who hosts pub lobby shuffle races orders everyone into the pit when the race countdown timer starts, because, I heard, that some believe this helps prevent this problem somehow.
Though I don't know why or how?
But he may be onto something because I've never seen it happen in his lobbies.

Hopefully this IS one of the online stability issues that this newest update is meant to fix. And I say "one of" because there are others. :(
