Been trying to figure out the Clio today on the Suzuka 600pp...... In the test run I lap the circuit in 2:17 sec. which is ok in my standards and I try to take confidence from the test run into the online race...... And the BAAAM! everything falls apart, nothing is to be compared from the test run, same settings, to the online race.... The Clio behaves completely from my test run, still the same settings, but into 2nd lap I feel I've got the hang of it, my confidence is back, I'm in the top 3 which I'm contend with, keeping in mind that the Clio had a mind of it its own.... And then BAAAAM! I mess up a corner, because A) I'm thinking about how contend I am with the Car. B) I'm already visualizing myself on the podium (even though it's not there). C) I basically just screw the corner I'm taking....... Jeeez, I love this game so much, but there's so much loath to it.......... AAAAARGH!!!!!!!:scared::crazy:

Good to know you love the game, but does not mean you need a separate thread. You can find *post your online experiences here* thread.. so post there maybe?

Calundanni,

Like Andy mentioned, it is largely due to the boost factor.

There has been some theories about it and in my opinion, the most plausible is a weight handicap. So in short, the closer you become to the leader (or away from the pack), the more weight your car puts on changing your braking points, racing lines, etc. That is probably why you are spinning out, because you are not adapting your lines to the added weight.

So the best thing to counter this is to keep a safety margin, running at about 90-95% of your potential.

That is why no one can match their time trial lap times with online times in the lead.

By the way, I my opinion, the tuned Cilo is unbeatable in 600pp if properly driven. NSX would be close.

Hope that helps.

I can run low 2.13s on free run, Best online time is 2.16 with only three other races. Notice much quicker lap times with less drivers. Get rid of the online boost if you ask me. Then at least the quick drivers would be able to get away from the not so good drivers/ rammers.

EDIT
Also driving that clio and keeping it in check is a fine art i would like to think i have mastered. I love it.

The online boost is most annoying when you find yourself at the back of the pack at the start. I can work my way all the way up through to 3rd or something in the first 2 laps of Suzuka, then my braking points are completely different going into the first corner at 150mph. I still haven't played enough to always remember to brake earlier but I don't see why I should have to.

Agree on the clio - the only places I can outrun a clio in my Evo-X is through the esses and you've 🤬-up big time if you leave a door open there.

NSX on the other hand I find a reasonable target, not the easiest to get in front of but doable nonetheless. Exit of hairpin or 130R into Casio is your best bet.

Don't go telling everybody that... :irked:

Yeah, i mean it's really hard to find that out by yourself when every PP600 race is littered with clio's and some nsx's.

I keep loosing to those clio's but i never ever thought that the most popular car -by far- in that class, would actually be the fastest too, who would have thought ;)

Nuke the boost PD and bring in 2 or 3 lap qaulifying before each race.Make races 5 to 10 laps. Fastest up front, laggers, punters, reckers in the back, added laps give all rear starters time to advance if they just had bad qaulifying run and online life is good!
