I'm really glad I found these forums. I've been reading as many threads as possible and learning a lot. Thank u for that

I hope my questions don't frustrate u. I believe I'm way below this communities level of knowledge. Apologies in advance.

For the first month I had this game a I didn't even know I could tune my cars. Now, I'm trying to tinker with it but find myself doing the exact same thing on every car and I'm fairly certain that's stupid on my part.

I lower the front and rear height of the car in an effort to make it less "slidey" (I'm sure u have a better word for it). Then I max the downforce for both front and rear. But, I don't see a change in the "braking" or "cornering" rating for the cars. What am I doing wrong?

I have also used mileage points to buy level 2 for power/speed. Problem is that I've made a few of my favorite cars nearly undrivable because, while the HP increased, they become very hard to handle and I'm sliding out all over the place. What am I doing wrong?

If there is a guide somewhere that will help me learn how to tune better, can somebody direct me to it please? I don't mean to ask Noob questions and have you duplicate something that may already be in writing. But, I have looked and can't find one.

Thanks

I don't think you are doing anything wrong per se. If you want to make the car faster without (hopefully) compromising the tune you are using, I'd recommend leaving the HP the same and decreasing the weight with the mileage exchange currency instead.

Adding more horsepower puts a bigger, faster, more aggressive strain on the suspension. The result is what you experienced. Personally, I like to keep the cars more stock and if I want to go faster just pick a car from the next class up. That said, you could probably up the horsepower a little and squeeze some extra power out of the car without too much uncontrollable-ness. GL and welcome to the boards!

Thank you, Jerome

I was feeling like no one would ever respond to me and that made me feel like my questions made me look like a complete newbie
