Online A Challenge has given us 3 different PPs to work under - which makes this latest version so much more awesome!
4a - High Speed Ring
I've completed this using one of my favourite all time cars, a Volkswagen Lupo GTI with a respectable 353PP starting point.
I was going to start at 360PP, but the Lupo jumped out from the list (ordered PP Desc.) as a good choice, and hey, won it first time. Watch out for 1st and 2nd place, they took more than the first lap for me in my Lupo.
I think this 'might' be possible with as low as 335-340PP, see how you go good luck! Record is 353PP
4b - Trial Mountain Circuit
I think a difficult starting point should be about 420PP - but amazingly the record is also...
353PP!
I went into this thinking 'oh yeah, 3 races, all 400PP, should be fun', beat the first challenge, onto Trial Mountain.
Initially being immediately slower I thought 'oh, well, its a slower track than the High Speed Ring' when it was loading an NSX Type-R left me a bit confused/shocked 'Huh? Under 400PP, oh well'.
Drove around, and narrowly missed 1st place to, you guessed it, the NSX Type-R. This irritated me but determined, I had another go, still thinking its a 400PP event.
I got my lap time down to the high 1:42.X, and on the 4th lap I got my time down to 1:41.1! Which was crazily fast, fast enough after being in 2nd for 2 laps, to catch the NSX on the 2nd last corner (just before the giant chicane), I passed him, and he was immediately on me, but with a corner cut here and there, I got away and won with more than 3 seconds to spare!
So good luck beating my 353PP with that one, remember its 500PP max, I'll be pretty impressed if anyone can beat this with a 360PP/355PP car let alone anything under 353PP (Has to be under to knock me off).
4c - Grand Valley Speedway
The lowest typical opponent is a 619PP, so I think a good 570PP should be possible here, possibly lower, haven't attempted this one yet, but I'm in the mood to try it with an E9X M3, and I'll see how I go with 570PP.
And that's all the events here covered!
Remember as usual, we are using Racing Soft tires, and any mods go, its all about the PP, increase your weight to up the power, decrease power to increase the aero, anything you like, the car and the number is the only thing important.
Also, a side comp for the lowest tires is sort of piggy backed off this, this means any PP goes, and the lowest tires win, Comfort Soft 451PP > Sports Hard 450PP, that should cover you in case you want to know if you're the 'Tire king'.
Enjoy people! Since this is so diverse I can't wait to hear some of the combos attempted.
