Just would like to know the dynamic differences between these two cars in terms of handling, steering feel and especially speed stability..I'm chuffed to bits with my LP640 and bought it because I thought the 670 is,like in reality,100k more...

I bought LP670-4 over LP640 cos I had enough money! I love it & tuned it to 860bhp & it's unreal, the speed & grip!

The LP670-4 is miles better in my opinion, it feels a lot more stable than the LP640 which seems way too unstable in my opinion, it seems to slide at the drop of a hat, or mine does. The 670 is faster, more controlable and, in my opinion, looks and sounds better. Of course, i'm a fanboy as it is my favourite car, but this is all true for me. :)

True, the 640s back end wriggles around at 140 plus mph,it's really scary, especially on the nurburgring.and to aggravate matters the dead on center steering feel dosent help.small adjustments and commitment necessary.just wondering if the 670 is different, turns out it is..the 670s interior looks more realistic too,the 640s leather interior texture is too porous and color too grey, whereas in reality the 640s interior is smooth black leather.

Both are handfuls to drive, but I think it's more worth it to earn the 670's respect. The SV, in my opinion, is just more fun because it's more quintessentially Lamborghini. It looks outlandish, sounds vicious and goes like stink. If you're in the market for a full on power car then snap the SV up. Hell, as far as top-tier supercars go it's cheap and since it's always in the Lamborghini dealership you can buy one as soon as you have money.

Haven't owned or driven the 640 but the 670 is a real driver's car. I find that.. you can throw it around to a certain extent, because it's also similar to the Ferrari 599 in a way that gentle inputs are the better way to drive it. Straight line speed is excellent, get the entry to the corner right and get the apex and you can pretty much punch it from the apex no worries. Very enjoyable car. It still feels like a road car (because it is) but at the same time you get the hint it loves the track a bit more and has a sort of race car feel to it.

Don't pay attention to those that say it's a handful or its crap or whatever, honestly... you'll love it.

I agree to, the 670 SV is better, well worth the extra money, it still has a very slight tendancy to wobble it's butt when you're breaking really hard, from a high speed, when not in a straight line, but other than that, it's a superb car.

Bellisimo.... 👍

Overall the SV is better.. But simply due to its look (Specifically its bumpers, and spoiler) I didn't buy it, and bought the 640 instead- much more nicer looking car.

If you want pure performance go with the 670, but I also think the 640 is much more exciting and rewarding to drive. Lots of fun in both though!

Neither are truly racers, but the LP670 is at least competitive on the track. It has way more of what you're looking for (stability), though out of the box, it will not drive like a Scuderia or ACR. The 640 handles like a regular car on worn tires. I feel that it's a bit exaggerated to be honest. Sure the Murcielago doesn't handle great, but I'd assume it could turn without sliding.

I'm sure tuning could fix the 640 though. I made a R-GT out of my second 670, and it's a lot of fun. It actually drives like a racecar too.

My highest mileage car is a 640 and yup, you're right.little tweaks to the diff and it's to my preference.and you're right too,the 640 is definitely no scuderia.fun as he'll though.I've shat myself driving it at the ring more times than I can remember.definitely lacks stability:scared:

Just what I wanted to hear.now I have an excuse to buy a 670 :)
But I still feel like my old 640 has taught me a lot about driving...I have yet to completely understand it..
