I think it is great! It is very addictive and is one of a few games that make me want to keep on playing it over and over. I like to use Challenge Mode most, and my high score (with quite some effort I must admit) is 246,418.

Anyone else play this? Can you post up your high scores too?
 
Challenge mode is my least favorite. I flipped the levels and i think it took 40 minutes. Its long if you are half-decent and hands start to hurt and i give up and dont even care to beat my top score some 359k.

I like the 60 second challenge. My record is 83. Its great to be able to play it when i have a few mintues to kill. I also have 208 i think for the 180 seconds.


Its the game i play the most.
 
I have that game, I haven't played it in ages though, might do later on actually its damn good.
 
Woah, I just thrashed my other Challenge Mode high score.

Yes it is and its portability is great. i do 60 second challenges with my psp in sleep mode just turn it on and bingo.
 
My score in Challenge Mode is now, 529,847, and is now pretty hard to beat.

I have unlocked all the skins apart from 1 that you get from getting a score of 999,999. :)
 
You even have the vs cpu skins, and the ones you get from the times challenges? My new 60 second challeng record is 86, i was 1 sweep away from 97 once.

You get ones from the Time Challenges? Do you mean you unlock characters?

What I found out is you get 2 skins from completing Puzzle Mode, 2 skins for 10 hours and 20 hours playtime, all the ones for vs CPU Mode and the bonus one for completing it, and all the ones from Challenge Mode and the bonus at 999,999 that I haven't got yet.
 
i played the game at school and is it the same as i remember, you have to protect small green people as they walk along a path? and you can use tools to protect them like have people to block holes and dig caves?

Dude I have no idea what you're talking about. Lumines is a puzzle game, similar to Tetris.

Just unlocked that "whoop dee doo" skin in vs. cpu mode, just can't seem to beat the one that comes after that one..:grumpy:

My favourite skins are "Rodent" and "Take a dog out a walk" :)

You're thinking of "Lemmings". That's an entirely different game.

Yeah, that one was very hard for me when I came across it. After leaving it for a while and playing Challenge Mode all the time, I got good enough to beat it, then eventualy beat them all. :)

I find now my fingers can't keep up with the speed Challenge Mode is going. I must have slow fingers. :grumpy:

My favorite skins are probably "Lights", "I Hear The Music In My Soul" and "Tin Toy".
 
25minuts in and i give up. with that said my 300k some odd score may be the best I'll do. I just do time challengs now and vs cpu but cant get past the one after the spade and hearts one squards.

Ultimate block party isnt as good but it requres some fast fingers and is fun in vs mode.

I was so excited to get this game into my PSP when I bought it, and after about 45 mins I paused the game, looked at how much it cost me, took it out of my PSP, and walked right back into the store to return it.

It was hyped so high that I thought I was putting the next best thing to Tetris into my PSP. I was way dissapointed.

I'd give a 6 out of 10 to Lumines, and tell anyone who is thinking of buying it to not bother and just play some free flash puzzle games on your pc instead.

Agreed. Unless you're a huge puzzle fan, this is a rental.
 
I'll have to agree too. I bought it because I KNEW I was going to like it, though. Maybe I should have waited for it to be a budget title, but I needed a game for the PSP at the time.

Lumines 2 will be coming out soon, probably at the same price. Why don't they release downloadable skins instead of a whole new game? It'll be exactly the same except for different skins. Just sounds like a way of making money to me...
