My fourteen year old just got a "serious" telescope from his gram. I may have to tell him about this. Of course it's really overcast here today. So we may not be able to see anything.
Thanx for posting the info.

I've been spending the past hour putting my scope together. I can't wait, I love this space stuff.

We're hoping for some clearer skies tonight; a red moon is something I'd like to see if weather permits.

Unfortunately, the title "Sunshine State" is a misnomer this time of year, but I guess The Partly Cloudy State wouldn't bring in the tourism lucre.

It was New Mexico's misnomer in the forties, long before Florida stole it from them. Except, in New Mexico, it's not much of a misnomer, since there's never actually been adverse weather there.

Would I be able to see it in my part of the world, that site mentions, Africa and South America, so I suppose that includes me as well? Or am I too low..

Nah, in SA we had a cool solar eclipse or somefin like that...:)

It seems like North America was covered by a complete cloud. I saw pictures on TV, and they weren't that dramatic.

Maybe it was better in The Land of Enchantment?

I missed it. I looked out my window at like 10:00 and all i could see was the tail end of it after it was over. :(

i saw the whole thing when i twas red... my sisite being the retard she is said WE ALL GONNA DIE AHHH AHHHH AHHH .. then i slapped her an dshe shut up ;) *i barley slapped her just like a tap..not like WA POW :D

I saw it. I had no problem seeing it. Very cool thing to be able to see. Can't wait for another one to happen.
