What do those school/college or working people here do at lunctimes?

Am i the only one who (i work at an engineering company) stays in the workshop and has lunch in there by myself? While everyone else is in the lunchroom thingy or outside?

I think i do it because of the peace and quiet? I've been doing it for yonks too as in high school i came home for lunch everyday (living across the road helps), in Polytech i sat outside one of the buildings by myself most days, at another course i did i went to the car for lunch all the time (well not all the time, only at lunch).

My only friends are the guys from the Nissan Skyline car clubs i'm a member of and two girls i met on the internet, although i've only met one of them in real life.

I sort of have trouble trying to think of things to say to people and i mostly listen to everyone else talking. Everybody who has met me will say that i am a very quiet guy (and nice too apparently). I'm not afraid of talking to people and if someone talks to me i talk back for as long as i can. Sometimes i initiate the conversation or whatever but not often.

I dunno. I'm happy so that is all that matters.

Most often I eat in the breakroom at work. Sometimes I'll sit in the office if there are couple job applicants or go to either McDs or Taco Bell and eat there.

Half the time I'll be alone, the other half someone will be in there with me. I know and have a good, friendly relationship with pretty much everyone that works there, so its not too hard to start a conversation or anything.

I'm sometimes the same. Only if I'm with people I'm not real good friends with. People say I'm quiet and nice too. But really, if theyy get to know, me I'm loud and annoying!

Anyways, at lunch I just talk with my friends out side in our "spot" and sometimes me and one of my other friends take out "route" around the school and see our friends.

It's too noisy, dirty, and well....work-related to hang around my workplace for my luch. I go home for my lunch hour because it's less than 10 minutes away.

Besides, it's cheaper to eat at home, rather than pay for lunch every darn day. And I go on GTP...

I also live 10 minutes from work and lunch there is way cheaper than eating out every day. That and I have to let my dogs out anyway.

I have 4 hour lunch breaks sometimes... i play games, go to the mall, or just chill with friends ... or *shudder*, I work on assignments

I also eat here at work sometimes sit at a table and chat with friends while some of the people insist on spending $6 to $10 a day to go out to eat. And thats not including gas price. I am poor so I try to save money. On average it only costs me about $2.00 a day to eat because I usually take left overs from home.
