thought we could all use a break from our mundane existance with a little roast of our "special" member: (all in good fun of course ;) )

First let me start of by saying congrats to the George Washington High School Redhawks who defeated their cross-town rivals in the 4th quarter last night. The memory of Steve Kalamazoo's 45 yard reception in the final seconds will surely last a life time.

The topic which I'd like to examine today with my fellow gamers is one which has given me much to think about. I mean, some of the details of the game surely will be unkown until it is released, like how exactly it will be to race against some of the more enthusiastic GT fans such as Miss McLaren, but some of the details are worth being discussed in detail. I mean, it really shows how widespread the GT craze has become, not unlike the 107th episode of Friends, when Rachel finds out that Joey's Duck really doesn't shed like most other pets.

Today I would like to explore the possibilities of track side ammenities. Now, in real life race car drivers are pampered with all sorts of luxuries, especially in F1. Hundreds of thousands of dollars are spent to put the crew in the finest facilities, and serve them the finest meals. I wonder if PD or KY would be able to convey that lifestyle to the gamer. Perhaps you'd be able to watch your driver arrive via helicopter, and then select which dip to dunk his shrimp into before cramming it into his pie hole. A toast could follow before the race, and you could select the proper bubbly to go along with the salsburry steak that is served before the race. I mean, this time could also be used to mingle with your racers, gauging their points of view on turn 7 and pit stratigos, and allowing you to build alliances, such as I have crafted with respected members like little Missy McLaren.

So lets see where this topic goes. Would you feel more emersed in the game if you could watch your driver be wisked through the paddock in a leather-lined golf cart, sipping a sport drink with a complex mixture of Vitamin A and Prozac? Sound off!
 
Get the golf cart on the track is what I say...

We could have a golf cart cup... the Yaris could enter too!!

I think your ideas are ammusing..but completely rediculous. We want to race, not talk to some strange characters that will probably repeat the same thing hundreds of times. This isn't a gold club or a pub. This is a racing game, many of us want to finely tune our cars and then get them on the track.
If we do get to choose our pit crew, I would prefer a system of moral (happy/sad) and skill(1/5 stars). And be able to choose which is best at the time.

Pretty good Greyout...I was poised to rubbish your thread, it took me in for a minute.

I see you have studied JohnBM posts in detail.
You open with the same ramble about an obscure sporting event, followed by some gratuitous name dropping, then the introduction of an outrageous concept presented in a plausible and rational way... :lol:

I'm sure John will see the funny side when he see's this..ok John ;)

His posts are very good (written in good english with no abbreviations makes a change) ...but I do think I am reading his diary sometimes!

Funny thing is.......I thought that maybe cut scenes of you getting into the car and doing pre race things would have been a good idea!......oh well!!!

I guess your just waiting for John to post eh!!!........

Well, John, let's see... You come up with threads, people emulate... go ahead. Tell him.

Greyout, you want to copy my style and incorporate them into threads? YOU CAN'T HANDLE MY STYLE!!! :lol:

For the most part, it looks like that with additions to perhaps driver profiles, that you want to consider a special lifestyle for racers? Is that it? Well personally, it sounds like a good idea, but... I don't know. I kind of think that it would be interesting to maybe have a life outside of the track. Because after all, racers are people. Whether you are a young lad just starting out in SCCA competition, or you are trying to win Le Mans in class or outright, everyone has a lifestyle. I don't expect to see GT4 racers drive up and down the streets of Shibuya in Tokyo with JPOP star Ayumi Hamasaki or anything, nor do I think that there should be a photo mode where you try to hop on your motorcycle from these teenage hotties trying to get your autograph.

Luxuries are often earned, but I don't think it will happen, Greyout.

I'd like to close this thread on a sad note. I would like to send my respects out to the character many of us Americans know as "Weezie" off of "The Jeffersons." She died yesterday of natural causes. She was born in 1917. Nice emulation, my fellow Texan.

I wanna allow my driver to ruin his life, with stupid amounts of drugs, sex, and booze when he starts to lose, so he becomes a sad loser, the kind who gets on the front page of the sun with a title like "one time race hero blows cash on prostitutes". Man if Gt4 could do that, I'd buy it!!

T5-R, if that list existed, I would have been on it A LONG LONG time ago.

Haha just noticed cobragt is on johns respected list, mwa hahahah, bw ahaha


John, your style is unique to say the least, I mean no one closes a post off with an a message about some random person dying but you. You also have an un healthy obsession with talking about GT4 as if it's a painting (the dark night sky, shimmering off the cars body, stars lighting up the details like tiny crystals BLAH BLAH BLAH *add 500 words of gushing about GT4*). Oh well it's funny at least.
 
In all fairness i think his posts are very refreshing... albeit quite at length at times and sometimes filled with scripted diarrhea ;) they are at least often for the most part interesting (except the flirtation with Miss McLaren) and a hell of a lot better than the monotany of "Is __INSERT CAR__ in GT4?" posts and post count spammers that have flooded in as of late (BTW The GT-One is the greatest car EVER!!!).

You need to have a post that says "the GT-One is the greatest car ever" on it's own, and you need to post in the middle of a discussion about driver animations, in a thread about the games graphics.
