Luxy2 (WRS Leaderboard for GT5) wishlist (=spam)

We're about to release a first version of the successor to Luxy, where we keep track of the split times of WRS combo's so we know who's fast and who's slow.

To anticipate that release we'd like to ask you what functions should be included in the new leaderboard to make it a GREAT leaderboard. Any suggestions are welcome but only the feasible and manageable ones will obviously be honoured.

Can you give more detail on how you will keep track of the split times?

The new system will be fully automated in a way that it parses the splits as posted in the combo week threads into a 4x hourly updated list displaying the splits like you're used to in Luxy. Manual work will be almost perfectly banned

Not sure if this is feasible but could there possibly be a way to "compare" two competitors by clicking on them and seeing the splits differences between those two?

Hey Cameron, nice trick! It was an earlier suggestion to add a column next to the 'Gap' column indicating the gap between you and the next faster guy. Would that be what you ask?

Nice! We would just have to write the splits in a certain way for the bot (or whatever means you plan on doing) to recognize the split AND the user?

Well, if everybody except a few would continue to post splits as they do now the bot can take out the splits and parse them into Luxy2 without any problem!

You would be surprised what you can do with technology today.

I hope this works out well for you guys because I know what a pain it is to have to come back here and check things and type it in somewhere else.

Will it be parsing our Div and Wheel/Controller also?
Will it monitor the promotions thread and add a hearty "Congratulations" in the comments column when someone gets promoted?
Will it fetch a cold one from the fridge?

Yup, that would certainly work as well (my suggestion was a little different, more like being able to click my name and someone else's name [not directly above or below me] and see the splits differences/gaps between just us).

And as for the gathering wheel/div/ntsc/pal etc info, can it gather it from our sigs so we just have to have the info in our sigs? Or will it have to be posted or something else?
