M3 CSL at Nordschleiffe

Sounds great, pity it can't keep up with a Porsche GT3 on the track.

You can really hear the SMG 'box struggle every time he hits the brakes. No rev pike, no blipping, it stays in gear too long before downshifting. Sure does sound pissed off, though.

Give me a 6-speed M3 anyday.

Advice.. go to Germany on a cheap flight and buy a knacked old E34 BMW 5series (a taxi or something) drive it to the Green Hell (nickname for the Nordschliefe or Nurburgring) on the 10th of July or something then camp there until the 24 hour race. It really is a spectacle watching OVER 200 CARS travel down towards the first corner. The track they use includes both the old mad circuit and the new circuit used in F1.
Watching Skylines do 160mph past some clapped out old Vauxhall Nova GTE before a jump at night is incredible.

Or you could get an International B Licence pay a few thousand quid, get some friends as a pitcrew and race yourself, like I want to do in four years time.

Exactly... the GT3 is faster, the NSX-R ran the same time as the GT3 7:56.xxx

What an incredible circuit...does anyone know what the writing or markings are for on the tarmac? It almost looks like kid's sidewalk chalk.
