Hi,

Does anyone know a way to setup AI so they are more challenging when doing a free run? I did a free run race (in Practice) using an RUF (stock settings) and the AI was way too slow. I passed them all on Spa by the time I got to the top of Eau Rouge! I then went into the seup menu and added Maximum weight ballast and decreased my engine power to 65% and I could still beat all the AI.

I'm an ok 'driver' in racing games... by no means am I one of those guys who set world record times. So it's a bit frustrating when I can't really get a challenging race offline.

Cheers all

Hi anim8r_uk the only thing I can think of to make AI more difficult is to go on Arcade Mode Professional but I still think the AI are easy to pass but give it a shot and see what happens.

There's nothing we can do to the AI in Practice Mode. Arcade Mode has a scale for their aggression but it doesn't effect their overall speed.

About the best you can do is change your own car's set up or your own driving. The AI is always super slow on cold tires. I just go to last place at the start and don't pass for the first lap at least. Clean passing only/ no dive bombing etc...

For your car, stock set ups work best along with tires at least one grip level under the AI. Some combos just won't work well, that's just how it is. Driving aids especially ABS puts you at a big advantage. It's just too easy to outbrake the bots otherwise.

Roughly speaking of the Als they don't have the mind of understanding and carrying out how to manage their own vehicle in a different conditions on cars and track to become faster, being programmed to stuck on the same pattern of routing.
