How do I make a car faster in Bspec? I just bought from online dealership a race car of over 850 hp I think. 1.4 mil or something. It only goes 190mph and gets whipped mJorly in the Indy race by cars with over 150 less hp. Gets lapped many times n

How is this possible when it has over 150hp more? It should easily go more then 200mph I thought.

How can I make any of my cars faster? Mph not just hp. I upgraded that car with the turbo for in high rpm range. Took car from like 920hp or so to 958hp + but speed didn't increase at all. Still only goes 190mph.

How can I get my cars faster and how do you edit gears to get higher top speed or faster acceleration?

I'm sick and tired of having cars with over 150-200 hp more then the ai yet still get beat tons. This is with my drivers at over level 20 on any track. Other cars accelerate way faster and just pull away.

if you don't know-you don't know...




to answer the OP's original question, go into car set-up BEFORE you start a race and adjust your Transmission settings, but don't adjust it to much because when you adjust your gearbox for greater top end you lose acceleration. so its a balancing act of finding the top speed your car can achieve on any given track (that means its no use setting the top speed of a car to 240MPH if the track doesn't have a straight long enough for your car to accelerate to that speed) vs loss of acceleration...

you understand?

there are also other setting you can adjust for improved speed. play with these settings but dont go crazy, small adjustments here and there can make MASSIVE changes in how your car performs.

I just didn't see anyway to make tranny changes and gear changes. I only looked in a couple places.

I bought a low profile race car for 2.9 mill from Toyota. Ucd I think. It had the fully adjustable tranny. Said top speed was 238 by default. It has less then 800hp. How can the gellit race car have over 900hp yet only go 190mph?

This I dont understand. More hp cars I have get whipped by lower hp ai drivers in Bspec.

Also what level are ai drivers? I'm curious since they all seem faster unless I have way more hp then they do.

What are the cars called on the Indy 500 endurance race? I've heard them called prototype. They're extremely low to the ground. Not formula cars.
Formula and these prototype whatever they are, are my 2 fav cool looking cars in racing.

Gear ratios. Hp means nothing on the top end if it can only turn so fast and the gear ratios aren't set up for a higher speed.

To adjust gear ratios, you gotta have a customizable transmission. The go to the settings menu from the pre-race screen or tuning from the garage screen. Go down to the transmission and select the little check box thing, a window should pop up with a slider that you can adjust. This will adjust the overall top speed of the car. (note that it doesn't factor in wind resistance or downforce so your actuall top speed will likely be a bit lower than you set it.

It's not just the ratio's that you are losing, from what you have said so far, I presume you are pretty new to GT if not all racing sim games and most likely using a controller (as am I, but with 10+ years experience of GT) The AI drivers are taking smooth racing lines, whereas we on controllers find it extremely difficult to take corners smoothly and this loses time. I've got pretty good at it though over the years of tap tap tap on the D-Pad and think I could take on the average driver who uses a wheel.

Yes. As someone else said, go change the gear ratios. You can give a car 47381634 hp, but if your top speed is set at 190 you just get to 190 really fast and will never go 191.

Adjust transmission, it's in the menu right before u click start race. I want to say 3rd option to click from the left? Maybe 4 someone correct menif I'm wrong.
 
Ya Bspec so the ai drives. My way more hp cars get toasted sometimes. I play with controller when I drive too. No $ yet for wheel, but if I ever get one I want to do it right with 100% gt5 compatibility and a good seat since I have nothing myself.

I have cars from all over really. Cars I've won then I bought cars to complete the events I didn't have cars for. This all in Bspec.

My NASCAR car gets whipped though in expert the 3 track NASCAR event on the top right. I don't see how I can win since my drivers comes in 6-8th always. All hp and cars in NASCAR are basically the same I think. So I don't see how I can get my driver to win.

Right now I'm doing super GT expert event with my new 2.9'million $ Toyota GT-one race car. Awesome car compared to these lower end cars. Tops out at 218mph. Where you can adjust gears the top speed is 238 which is the default. I didn't change anything. So it seems I'm lacing speed ok for this second super GT track on the start line straight away.
 
To make your car faster ( If It's not been already said, sorry)
try doing few races then oil change and this game seems love oil changes.

B spec is not just about how much power your car has or the gear ratio's, yes, the performance and power to weight ratio is important but the mood of your driver is crucial.

For instance, you have a car that is 5 seconds a lap faster than the AI when your B spec driver is at 50-100% (the 'mood'' bar at the bottom centre of the screen when in a race at B spec). If you let your driver's mood drop (and the bar goes to 0) then he might end up doing laps that are 7-8 seconds slower, therefore the AI will gain 2-3 seconds per lap on you, even though your car is actually faster than there's - it's just not being driven to it's full potential.

You need to manage your driver, not too fast or he will spin the wheels, spin the car or go off track, but not to slow or he will loose so much time the AI will start to close in on you or overtake you.

Try and keep the bar between 25-75% for best results.

There are many threads detailing how to make B spec easier, search for these threads and read the advice, it will make things alot easier. 👍
 
Cool. Thanks. But, to keep driver between 25-75% doesn't that require pace up a bunch?
One thing I don't like is how the driver gets teed off right when the race starts lol.

I finally beat Indy 500 in extreme I think it is. My far had the high rpm turbo to give it 940hp or something. Other cars were over 900hp with amfew like 973hp or so. Kinda weird but my driver whipped the ai. I don't get it lol.

This is all confusing me and just seems odd. One race my driver gets whipped and others he seems to do better.

Please forgive me but what race gives most $ in shortest time? I notice some if you start one after another is more $ in the same time as say an endurance race. So what race would be good to start and then just start again and again? I forget which but I found one that is 20 laps and gives 99,000 and it takes maybe 25-35 minutes with 10,000-11,000 exp. This is better then 4 hr endurance.

I'm just trying to save $ now.

The best B-Spec race for money is the Dream Car Championship. 5 races at 108k each and a 546k championship prize for a total of just over 1 million in all. each race takes under 20 minutes depending on weather and car used. For best results use the X1 or FGT if you do not have the X1. If neither then the Minolta will do just fine but will take a little longer.

I normally let Bob run this race while I watch TV and I will pop over during a commercial to check his status and start the next event.

In the X1 you can get close to 1 million and hour if you don't let it sit to long between races.

Other than this the best is probably the Indy race in the American championship. 117k per race and you can keep restarting. For best results here use the Ford GT Race car or Ford GT test car Bob should win with no coaching in either of these with ease.
 
The best car I have now is that Toyota GT one race car. I have the gillet race car I think it's called. 190mph with 940+ hp. Weird. Then a couple ferraris and lower cars.

How do you get the x1? I don't have in my opinion anything close to win the dream car event. My GT one will get whipped and is my best car I think.

I have 990k right now.

Is there a way to search for cars? I have hard time not knowing what car is what country and stuff ni want tomsearch for cars I need for events instead of look manually in each brand.

My Toyota GT-ONE race car with the 3rd turbo for upper range rpm. He's kicking booty on the first track of the dream car event. Holy cow. On his 6th lap he already lapped one driver and on 7th 2 or 3 more cars were lapped. 8min 25sec and on 11th of 22 laps. 8:42 finished 11 full laps.

The highest hp in tue typical car list before you start the race gave 913hp I think as highest. I'm kicking booty!!!!

I hope the rest of these races in this event go this well. I'm also going to buy the f1 GT and x1 when I can affrod them but have never seen the x1 for sale so I don't know where to get it.

Just started second race. It is raining. I switched tires to rain. Why did I get to 1st in less then 12 seconds? Ai cars went 40mph to 100 mph at most and even in first turn they all slid bad lol. Looked funny. They pitted on first lap and at that time I lapped them all. Lol.

Why didn't they start with rain tires? I'm glad cus it was funny and I got so far ahead. I don't get it cus I would think even non rain tires the cars would go fast but then I don't know anything about racing.

How the bleep do I win the last track in 1979 or earlier event that's in maybe expert? It's the first event on second row. The last track was also just on speed channel yesterday. Monoco grandprix I think with f1.

I hate this track. Ai sucks so bad on the first couple turns there's a huge pile up and they force my driver to stop for several seconds. Pisses me off. I've run this 10 times or more and necrosis even come close to winning. Mostly in 9th place or worse. I've tried several cars. Toyota 7 race car 70 one which has over 900hp. I've lowered top speed for faster accel.

No matter what my drive can't win and this is pissing me off!!!!

The Vertigo is much faster than it's default 190mph. You need to change the gearing to get it to really go but it will fly if you tune it well and can drive it.
