To all the noobs out there who don't have the skill to bronze the vettel special event and feel that people should duplicate cars for them are a disgrace to the community. The whole point of the x2010 is only the worthy can own it but since people can get them without having to win a single race makes beating the challenge not mean as much since everyone has it so please make this car non-tradable.

I think the horse has bolted on the X1.

Also before the mod squad get you, the use of capital letters is expected.

Have you even bothered to check the AUP?

AUP

To be honest I agree but for now we all just need to deal with it.

You can get one by getting to Level 35 in B-spec too. Is there skill required for that?

Did you bronze it with a controller? I'm pretty good at GT, but don't as yet have a wheel, therefore after 4-5 tries of the challenge, I gave up until I get my rig as I was an easy 5-6 seconds a lap too slow.

I do however agree with the duplicating thing, I believe it's cheating, although not hurting anyone. It's kind of like doing the unlimited ammo and weapons cheats in the earlier Tomb Raiders, ruins the personal challenge and in the end, lowers enjoyment for yourself.

So let me get this straight your classing anyone that cant win it as a noob ?, Have you tried the challenge with a DS3 ?, I for one can't afford a wheel since GT5 would be the only game I use it on, Nor do I even have the space for a wheel and some of us have other more important things to pay for in life, Also I don't see myself as a noob, If we could get online stats you'd see pretty much every race ive been in ive either won or been in the top 3 :)

I also don't like that I'm asked by a lot of people to dupe it, but I'm not against duping in general. I really fail to see why people care so much about this, as it doesn't hurt anyone but themselves from feeling some sort of accomplishment.

And getting to LV 35 in B-Spec isn't skill related so it's not just "the-skilled-people" that get to drive it.

Oh great, here we go all over AGAIN..

Duplicaters, cheaters and glitchers V's the people who don't..

''Ding ding'' - round 157

I agree with this one hundred percent! People who cant get the car by themselves, whether in A spec or B spec shouldn't be allowed to have one.

The car is awarded to those who have dedicated time and effort into either doing the necessary challenges or grinding it out in bspec mode.

Make it non trade'able.

DS3 only for me but believe it or not, I'm not too fussed about the X2010, haven't even tried it yet or tried to get it. I'll get it eventually through B-Spec. I can wait.
@SiverArrow- Chill with the throwaway 'noob' remark, some 'noobs' are probably better than you, most are better than me and I'm a GT 'veteran' (Dual Shocks only).
Skill is all a matter of subjective perspective, I suggest you get some.

Why do you care and how does it hurt YOU if a "noob" has an X1?

How is it cheating? Doesn't somebody have to be CHEATED for there to be CHEATING? Who is cheated? You? Because now you can't go online into a room of "NOOB's" and run by them in your fictional X1 to show them what a bad a$$ you are because you are better than them and earned it? I keep seeing these posts and am confused.

I have yet to have somebody explain the harm it causes. It's as if by duping cars they are stealing from PD. They already payed for the game and if they want the car and have found a way to get it, who cares?

No it isn't. The point of the X2010 is that it's a fantasy car showing what is possible with no regulations and lots of technology.

I earned both of my X2010's and I plan to earn two more, but that doesn't mean I have any trouble with other people duplicating theirs and trading them to people that haven't 'earned' it. I don't care because it doesn't effect me in the slightest.

You're worried about the illusion of exclusivity of a car in a video game.

Seriously.

OK, I have a Pokemon mentality with GT5 so I have to get them all (to use somewhat better grammar),

I have a fair amount of B spec grinding ahead of me as Bob is currently Lv 23.

I can see no likelihood of ever Golding the Vettel Challenge (with my DS3), so that is one part of the collection out of reach for a start. For that matter I am not sure I have requisite skill to even get to Bronze level as I have enough problems controlling the Formula GT at times. Le Mans cars on the other hand (even upgraded) seem much less of a problem.

I have a couple of wheels from my PS2 days (including the DF Pro or whatever it was called, the first one with more than a turn lock to lock) though the aggravation of finding a suitably rigid mount for them is something of a deterrent! I am not even sure if the game would support it. I suppose I ought to check it out at some point...

This is probably the same guy who caught a Mewtwo in the original pokemon game and demanded that unless they caught it in a pokeball, people can't have it.:dopey:

I caught my groudon with a pokeball!:D But in all seriousness, I don't really care if people want to cheat. It's their game if they want to drive the X1 in the Clubman Cup then let them. If you want to earn your X1 then go ahead.

I don't really let the way other people play the game effect the way I enjoy it, maybe that's just me though.

There's no such thing as a person who can't get one themselves in B-spec. It's just a question of if you're willing to leave your PS3 on for many many hours or if you'd rather skip that nonsense and trade for one. And trading is a perfectly legitimate part of the game - it's been there from the start.

Just another person pissed that he can't brag that he's the only one that "earned" an X1. Mommy and Daddy didn't give you enough attention?? Need to get on forums and brag to boost your ego? Just cause others have the car, it shouldn't take away from your sense of accomplishment. Unless you answered yes to the 2 questions I just asked....

I traded for one @ lvl 29 so I could get some time behind the wheel prior to the challenge. Got to lvl 30 and "earned" mine as well (Gold Monza, Bronze on the other 2). Now I don't even care to drive the car anymore, as it just takes the fun out of driving all the other cars in the game if you drive it too much.

I agree. Why would you get a X2010 by a lazy ass trade? Try and beat the challenge ^_^.

I'm trading to get one, since I'm using a DS3 and have no interest in wasting my scarce free time on an impossible, frustrating challenge when I could be doing enjoyable things.

When the deal goes according to plan, I'll get mine tomorrow. I don't care where it came from... And you know what? I'm seriously stoked and looking forward to getting mine as if it were a nice late xmas present.

If a game can make me feel like a happy little kid again, that's what gaming is all about - isn't it? Worth it to me.

I agree, i'am level 29 and hoping to unlock it via the challenge or getting it gifted at level 35.

Was playing with someone last night who was level 23 and had an X1 he'd bought off Ebay. The night before i played someone else had one and when asked how they did it they replied "i unlocked it from one of the Pro events" yeah right.

I could quite easliy go and buy one but why waste all those hour i've put in jsut for a quick fix.

I lolled so hard, "to all noobs..."
Well fool, you did come to the right place, now please let people decide for themselves if they want to get a 'fake' car traded or not, ok? :)

Does a race for X2010s ever open up? Else, is there a point to making it rare? Is it about skill? Doesn't everyone who gets it, by whatever means, use it to beat lesser cars and available challenges? Since so many players have it now, I think it'd be slick of PD to give them away for free and to create a limited special event with large credit rewards. [Edited, since I don't know what happens everywhere online].

I'm not against it fully, but I do think its de-valued the X2010 to a degree. I personally got gifted one in a trade, and one from winning a 'quiz' on this forum. I think I'm going to use them as 'trading tokens' as I am personally collecting the LMP cars which I think are much nicer looking cars, and for me they have real world relationships. I've used one of the X2010's, once and to be honest I really am not a huge fan of them.

You're either trolling or you're lacking a huge amount of self confidence if you need people to recognise you're gaming ability by a single prize car.

Have you golded all the Vettel challenges? Because personally I consider anyone unable to gold them to be un-worthy of ever owning the car and a disgrace to the community ;)

Seriously, if you want to prove how quick you are, run the GTPlanet WRS qualifier and get yourself in one of the top 2 divisions, that's a much better guide to how quick someone really is.

Like most people I'll earn my X1 the old fashioned way by either A) passing the Vettel Challenge (not likely) or B) Getting the level 35 in B-Spec (Which is more than likely the way it'll go down).

As for whether it's something that can be traded, I honestly don't care either way, nor does it bother me how other people got there's.

Have done the challenges, gotten the cars. Was it fun for the first few days to pull out a X1 out of the pits and people went like "waaaa?!", yes. Should it have stayed that way? Not in my opinion, no. The more people that's using X2010's, the higher the chance will be of having a full grid of nothing but them, that's what I'd like at least! ^ ^ "Earning" it only meant something to myself. I didn't do it to prove, or brag, about my insane car to someone else.
