Where do you guys go to race (arcade/simulation) for the sake of having a nice replay?

I've been doing the free run option under arcade and erasing my record lap times so that when I finish one I save it as my best lap. Problem is I can only replay one lap when I do this and I can't change the camera angles.

I'm sure there's a better way. In fact its probably in the instruction manual somewhere, but I haven't spotted it yet. I thought I'd get the experts' options first anyway.

I'm interested in having a multi lap replay where I can control the camera angles.

when you're watching a replay...just open the DVD drive and then you can press the buttons to change the camera angles and all sorts of other things...but make sure you close the DVD drive before the replay ends so it can continue to load...or else...it will freeze on you....

thanks.

I had heard that before, but I was hoping there was a better way. I'll try that out though.

Any idea how to save more than 1 lap?

For high Speed replays I like the Test track

I usually take my 787B at Laguna Seca . Its very , very satisfying to race against the GT1 and R390 at this track on arcade mode . And you gotta love those amazing replays !

what track are you at that you can only save one lap ? try the free run for replays

Ok, obviously I'm a moron. Someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong.

To make a replay.

I go to Free Run under arcade. I select my track and car. If there are no records set for that track, after I complete 1 lap, if I exit the race when I'm back to the

Start - Replay - Setting - Load ....

Screen. It has a "save" option. The save option says, save best lap replay. That only saves 1 lap, no matter how many I ran.

If I press start and do another lap (lets say this time I'm slower). When I finish (since I just ran the best lap) it says, save best lap still and wants to save the previous one. I can't get it to save a lap that isn't the best lap.

If there are already previous records set when, the save button says save best lap and it means for that session. I can't save anything that isn't the best lap. And it's only one lap!!!

Then, supposing I do save a best lap. When I go to file operation and load that replay. After I eject the disc, I can't switch views other than chase/bumper view and the camera view on the track.

I'm missing something here....

Very odd, I test all my new hybrids there, run em at least 5 laps, an the replay runs untril I stop it. very odd you just get one lappers. That only happens when I have the one lap wins code enabled

Well, not quite.

I can only save 1 lap. The replay runs for the whole time i was rounding the circuit. I want to pull these replays up later in the replay theater though. Is there no way to save long free run replays for replay later?

danoff - in Free Run, I think that it will replay your entire session from the time you start till you press exit from the run - until you start a new session. You can rewatch it as many times as you like, all laps, until you start driving again. If you try to save it does pick only the fastest lap from that session. AFAIK the only way to save multiple laps is in racing mode, either arcade or simulation.

As for the camera angle question, I have no idea. I never tried it.

Like I mentioned before I have no problems savin the replay at the Free Run Courses, Now on the Test Track from the main menu its another matter

In Free Run mode, as neon_duke mentioned above, you can only save your fastest lap, not the whole replay.

o_O
Well it only saves your best lap in the PAL version thats for sure.

I have replays with 5 to 15 laps of just Free runs....I don't know whats your doing wrong :/

hopefully he can find out he seems to really wanna capture his games, I have one where my cars up on two wheel, thats the right side two wheels, an another where my car bounches off the rail an is 5 feet off the tarmac, so I can relate to his desire to wanna save keepers

for the camera angle...to make good replays ...you have to go to the replay options...and go to the button with the music and the car...and then u eject the disc...and then press the buttons...cause if you have it set as "normal" replay then you can only switch from chase and bumper view...

good tip

thanks guys.

That's really lame that you can only save 1 lap unless you're racing an opponent. I guess in other versions (not the ones destributed in the US) you can save as many as you want.... I wonder why they changed it.

I appreciate the help.
