I heard about this on the radio the other day. Were the two brothers liiving with the decomposing man blind? This reminds me of a short story we once read in school, I think it was called "A Rose for Emily" by William Faulkner.

Sweet!

This guy was growing his "collection" for a while and his parents and sister claimed to "not know anything" about his stuff in his room. I forget how long he was collecting but I saw pics of his "collection" and you would be able to "notice" something.

I think he commited suicide some how in jail? Damn shame...

De Anza bombing attack thwarted
San Jose Police arrested Al Joseph DeGuzman, 19, Jan. 29, possibly thwarting a planned attack on De Anza College. Police said DeGuzman intended to plant bombs at the campus cafeteria and detonate them during the lunch hour. Kelly Bennett and Michelle Houde, employees of the Longs Drug Store on Capital Expressway in San Jose, alerted police when she was developing pictures taken by DeGuzman that showed him posing with his arsenal. Police arrested him when he arrived to pick up the photos and later found bombs, guns and ammunition at his residence, where he lives with his parents. DeGuzman's trial is scheduled to begin Jan. 22, 2002.

WTF?! Wouldn't the dead body started to smell and rot after a few days?!

"Max?? Maxx?? Aw boy, you haven't eaten your dinner again! That's the second week in a row!!"

What the hell, I mean it's not like the guy can sleep walk or anything, he's frieken dead. The only thing I can think of is the family was not around the house a lot and just thought he moved around when they were gone. That doesn't explain the smell or rot though, unless they live in a sub zero degree temperature house.

Exactly what I was thinking. Apparently, rotting flesh has an extremely strong and pungent odor. So, either the people living there have absolutely no sense of smell, or someone messed up their facts...

Does it say they were living in the same house? Because if they were...then...wow. I have no idea how a family could possibly go 10 years without even trying to contact him. That would be like all of us suddenly abandoning gramma right and ten years later wondering "oh, where's granny?". Ridiculous. Ignorance at its finest.

Wow... that is long... I've read that sombody was dead for over a year and the TV was still running... nonstop... really high quality....
In this case, after a few months the smell of the dead body is away, well... anyway.... that is part of modern society...

Or the family has colds all the time. :D
