Manual cars don't need clutch even with automatic clutch turned off??

Just drove the Zakspeed Capri with automatic clutch off with my TH8A, and if I left off the gas and changed gear the car will still change gear even though I didn't touch the clutch?! Even with downshifting with a throttle blip if would still change gear...
Is this supposed to happen?!

That´s how the Formula Gulf works, but I´m pretty sure the Ford shouldn´t do that

I just did it in the RUF 8 and it wouldn't work correctly unless I pushed the clutch in.

I'm guessing it's just something with the Capri?!
