Just a question that Im sure has been asked many times, so here it is again.
I just went to manual and realized how wonderful it really is compared to the auto. Ive driven the auto cars since gt1 and must say, the manual, once mastered is the best setup for corners, getting the attitude of the car around the only way a manual can do.
Thanks for the opions.

if this post ahdn't just come up it would have been a good post. (sorry if i sound aggressive but it is sunday night and I am drunk and I just saw this post a few days ago and I am drubk off of smirnoff 100 proof. AKA really drunk) :)

Hello...

If You drive automatic , You cant control soulful drifting ! ( By use a analog Controler or Force Feedback Wheel )

I have disable the tracktion control-help to a minimum .
So I have full Control by drift and the most Fun !

Best wishes

Once you master manual it's heaven! You can finally pull some cool tricks and you're able to create for some more torque when the road rises, this has proven way rewarding in some of the earlier races (the one's I lovee!! Just cruizing in my miata or s2000, luvvvly!) Also you wanna overload the redline once in a while (9 outta 10 shifts goes 900rpm red :D ) And when you're in 3th and you think there's 50 or 100 rpm left in 2nd; downshift just to prove you're right, don't try that in a 787B claas car though:)

Manual!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!-(etc.)

For my first few races, I drove with a slushbox, but after I upgraded and sold the Miata I went strictly to manual. Once mastered, you'll never turn back. Probably the best part of manuals is that you can anticipate when to downshift (downshift 2 gears when going into a corner, for example... the slushbox can't do that!)

I am a wuss...I am always talking about more realism here and there, so I guess I need to stand by it and go manual :D

Hey, it's the way real racing should be :)

Pardon my curiosity, :D

It is just is Sunday Night, and I am bored. :o

is was in my dorm room with a couple of buddies just wasting time. I am definetly not going to try and make sense when I am wasted any more. My post from last night was pretty bad :)

I use the semi-automatic technique that sixtyfiveus mentioned over at gt3times.com

I agree with what most say about the manual tranny. Once youve mastered it, youll never go back for sure. :D
The finding your downshifts to the controlling your cornering attitude with the manual is so true.
Im really glad to have switched after so many years being an auto man. Im still not up to snuff with my room mate and he uses the auto. Im still working on the mastering technique of the manual.

how abput the 1980's camaros. Definetly one of my favorite looking of the camaro (sans the classic 69-72). I looked everywhere for a v-8 with a stick shift. Nowhere to be found. I bought a saab instead (it came in 5-speed). :)

Manual is the transmision of choice for me to rev the hell out of the licence cars to get me golds

And then my S2000 works best when driving it to the
RED LINE
which is best done in manual

yeah, because the s-2000 is v-tec and it red lines at 9000RPM, thats very good for a japanese car
