manual transmission shifts into 1st at the start line

Whenever I am driving in manual mode the car shifts into 1st at the start. I am using a G27 wheel. I searched the forums but I couldn't find anything about it. Is anyone else having this problem? How do I fix it? Thanks in advance.
 
You mean when the race starts? Wait until the "3" flashes then select your gear
 
As soon as I cross the line it drops to 1st and I have to quickly shift back to 3rd with the sequential shifter.
 
I've never heard about this. 1st thing i would say is check your connections, 2nd thing i would try is re-setting up the wheel to gt5 in the options menu. If that doesn't work, call up logitech and ask them whats up with it. Good luck man.
 
Shouldn't you be starting in first gear anyway? :odd:
 
Think the OP means on a rolling start.
 
Its most likely due to the stick shift being in first. I had the same problem on my G27. Every time it crossed the start line on a rolling start it would shift into the gear that is placed in the stick shifter. Just place it into neutral and you're problems should be gone.

Yep, you beat me to it.

I would be willing to bet that the OP has his stick shift in 1st. Leave it in nuetral.
 
Ok, so I am an idiot! I guess when I put it away last time it got put into 1st. As I never use the stick it didn't even think about it. Sorry for wasting your time, but thanks for the help.
 
Igot the same prob using my g25 when I am in the up down gear(rally type of gear)
