Thanks very much to those who gave me advice earlier in the week on how to win the Laguna Seca round of the Pro MR series. I managed it this afternoon on the third attempt with the Zonda :D

I used a set-up from a thread search I did (can't remember who's it was) and stuck super hard tyres on, and they seemed to make the handling a lot more stable than even the hard tyres. The GT40 was pretty close behind me all the way round but managed to hold him off. The ZZII is a sexy little car, may have some fun with that one.

Next one I think I'll tackle is the Italian Zonda races *takes deep breath*

The zonda races are easy. I just did them last night after finishing the All Japan GT and getting a zonda for the prize.

I ran Racing Slicks front and rear; good for 10 laps. The computer pitted all 5 zonda's on lap 10 so you can gain time there if you need to. I set the Auto Setting on the tranny to level 32 for the second race and i think it was at 30 or 31 for the first race. I don't know why the track is faster in the other direction.

Use the super hard tyres again and don't pit at all.

Doncha just love it when the computer pits all the competitors and you don't have to? Looking forward to doing those races tonight then, wife is at work so no obligations for "quality time" lol!

I used the NA Pro prize car (Zonda C12S), with a few mods to win the Italian Avant Garde races. The first one was easy, they all pitted on lap 9 while I was holding a slight lead.

But the second one wasn't so nice...it took me 3 tries to win it on the reverse Rome course; the Zonda Racers weren't pitting at all, and the C12S understeers badly, and braking distances aren't too nice. I had to mod the car like mad, and add a Stage 2 NA mod (~820hp?) to run away with the race for good.

Not my finest moment in GT3 history, but the Zonda Race Car was worth the trouble.

i just beat thta race this afternoon (c12s 750hp) the car doesnt understeer that bad if you change the suspension settings. I didnt pit and that made it an easy win(so did 750 hp:lol: )

that works for the pro FF too :)

lol, i just realized why i thought it was so easy, i have the zonda race car pushing almost 1200hp :D

I've got every prize car exept the Truen Shigeno version which I got early on and sold, and you can't get it back :banghead:
