This will be a unique challenge in that it is more of a tournament style format. Loosely based on the ncaa tourney of course. It may change in the future if there is more interest but for now this is the way it's gonna be.
-Participants will qualify for the tournament in the "Regular Season". Don't worry about the length though, its not a huge league, just for seeding purposes and making it more realistic. Depending on turnout some people may not make the tournament but odds are everyone will make the tourney, just you might have to go up against the top dog right away.
---There will be 4 races. A hotlap, and a 3,5,and 10 lap race. They may be arcade or sim cars or races, slow or fast you don't know yet. although there will be NO rally races this time so sorry to the dirt masters. 5 days a piece for the hotlap and 3 lapper, for the 5 and 10 lapper, a week for each.
---scoring: 2 points difference per place. 1st place gets twice as many points as the #of participants in that race. IE 15 racers for the hotlap, 1st gets 30 points, 2nd 28 and so on and so forth. The four totals will be tallied and you will be seeded in the bracket accordingly.
*it is strongly encouraged that you participate in each qualifying round so that there are equal points up for grab each race and the brackets don't get skewed.
-The Tournament. Ideally there will be, say 32 people but that wont happen so some drivers will get byes. say 9 people do it. the bottom two drivers will have a play in round to get into the final 8. With 7, one driver will get a bye. Top finishers get to go against the lower ones at the start obviously I'm sure you know how it works.
---The first round will be one race that I choose. Fastest driver (head to head) moves on. After that it will be the best out of 3 races. Each driver gets to choose the track once. and for the third race I will assign the track, and I'll name the cars and length for each race. Eventually we will have a March Madness Champion, not to mention the unofficial gt3 champion of the world!!!!ok maybe not the last but I think it will be cool.
---few more rules gentlemen, you may not pick rally races,wet races,the test track,super speedway and complex string. If you may not pick the same track twice in a row but you can name it more than once, or switch between forwards and reverse. Also, rules will cohere to general olr rules and the minor details will be hammered out later
