Sadly the unlocking of the save file has ruined the marketplace :(

It was fun while it lasted.
 
Actually the Marketplace is still alive. Just the balance has shifted. Now the really rare cars are valued (as it should be) instead of just the cars that kids without a life can get (high level cars).

I see it as a big improvement.
 
Ok but how many people have the X2010? now let me ask you how many have earned it?

No cars really went up in value or down in value... All cars are now kind of in the middle, and are all considered equal.

and once the rare cars get traded, they are getting duped

face it, the trade market exists just for people to acquire cars for duping

idc as it doesnt affect me but i would have loved to see certain cars to only be owned by a few people so they can be valued really high, not anymore...

Yeah, it almost sounds like a videogame.... hey wait a minute.... 💡

You don't have to go along with it, but for the people who want, there is.

And don't forget: as Adam Smith stated: no one does something without his own benefit. So eventually people need to get up with better and better stuff to still make people dupe.
The market will not die.
 
I'd rather trade whatever in order to be able to drive the cars than to work 1,000 hours to buy one car. By then, working for that long I'll be exhausted from playing.

The game is meant to drive cars. It's the ride of your life. Not the "race 1,000,000 times to buy 2 cars then get sick of the game and never touch it again".

Yea obviously, but the discussion is about the marketplace.

The marketplace was much better when it was just one lonely thread in the GT5 forum.... but most you guys weren't around for that were you?

Agreed, it's ruined........

When level 10-20's are offering you the X1 you know its ruined, all this duping means every car is pretty much easily getable, also having the FGT premaritally on the online market place means you cant even really use that as bargaining tool anymore :(
 
Lol, it is like rich people complaining that all the poor people are so rich now and, altough it doesn't hurt them, they are more involved in having a 'status' thing for themselves than for everyone to enjoy.

That is why they start thread after thread in the hope PD gives them back their beloved status by reverting things back.

Seriously guys: trading will be around, so no worries if you like trading (actually it gets alot more nice now, you can do it every day without having to 'work' the whole day first). For people who want e-penis size with their exclusive cars, you are screwed, and good ridance to you.

Anyway, I agree that it's just silly now. How many more threads with guys offering a zillion x1's for the same old list of cars are we gonna have?

I'm still giggling at some guys who still think their P4 is ONLY worth exchanging for an X1 :lol:
 
I had X1, F1, FGT at level 14 before the patch...

This game takes way too much work to get the cool cars. Grinding is absurd - should never have to do a race more than once. Bad game design, fortunately remedied by duping.
 
It has nothing to do with status or your tiny E-penis bro. The fact remains... the marketplace was better when it started than it is now. Point. Blank. Period.
 
honestly - who cares.

it's a game. why does it matter to you if someone else has an X1? surely something like getting gold in all licenses and events is more significant? you'll be able to 'show that off' more easily via your trophies.

also, spending HUNDREDS OF HOURS to grind is pathetic. im glad the market has opened up all the premium race cars.

If you don't want to obtain a rare car through trading, then you can still earn it the way you did pre-patch.

All im saying is that the marketplace was better before when people were just birthday glitching!

How about this for irony... I lost hundreds of hours of progress because they DID unlock the save...
 
i tell you what, im having more fun making deals on here than going around indy 1000 times just buy an enzo the market place is much better now x1 and FGT owners arent the ones with all the power anymore
 
I think it's leveled the playing field, and because of it, people will send more cars just to get what they want now. It's a free for all now.

Yea but now the whole marketplace is nothing but the same X1 and FGT threads over and over and over and over... Id like to be able to find other cars without having to go thru 1000 X1 threads.

I dont give a damn if they are copied or not, the actual marketplace is a pain in the arse to get thru. This is why its ruined. Also nobody even follows the forum rules in the marketplace.
