StarLight Garage always loved the Maserati MC12 ... so I found a lovely one which I will suggest, not only only because his tremendous oranje color but the fact it's built (tuned) by ZR Auto.
So here is the Maserati MC12 Corsa by ZR Auto, the only street legal car in Canada.
On Saturday, May 11th, 2013, Zahir Rana’s voice echoed throughout the display hall of the annual Driven Auto Show in Calgary, Alberta Canada.
As he took to the microphone to announce the unveiling of the ZR Auto MC12 Corsa, Rana said: “This is a very special car – the only one of its kind on North America. Without further adieu, I present to you the ZR MC12!” As two ZR Auto technicians pulled back the black velvet cover, hundreds of cameras clicked as the long-awaited MC12 Corsa came into the spotlight.
Rana’s client, Ron Fehr, purchased the MC12 a few years ago and quickly began to have ideas about what he could do with the car. With Rana’s Enzo recently flown over to Edo Competition in Germany, Fehr followed suit and commissioned the only street legal MC12 Corsa in North America.
The MC12 Corsa arrived in Calgary early last week, and Fehr was quick to grab his keys and take the fastest MC12 in the world for a spin. Rana reported that Fehr’s joyride throughout the city drew attention from motorists, pedestrians and even the local police. “They’re already looking for him,” Rana joked. “With a car that can go that fast, it’s not a surprise!”
Some of the modifications done to the MC12 by Edo Competition include custom Edo Competition Forged centre-lock wheels, custom ceramic brakes (396mm front and 360mm rear,) modified sequential multi-plate performance clutch, 6300 cc 48 valve gear drive, upgraded ram air intake and filters, high-flow cat-back exhaust, custom-forged F1 pistons, MC12 Corsa body kit and much more.
This MC12 Corsa can go from 0-60mph in 3.2 seconds. The motor produced 850hp at 8500rpm’s and 575lbft of torque at 8500rpm’s.
