Massive FPS stutters on PS5 on Trial Mountain

After installing 1.09 I went and did the 700pp championship (menu 36). First track was Trial Mountain and man... the part where you come out of the tunnels into the woods... Looked like 15 FPS to me. I've done all sorts of tracks afterwards without any issue.

I am curious if this is a patch-bug or if it's just me...?!
 
The framerate is so bad in menu 36 on Trial Mountain, because there are 20 cars in that race. It's better when there are 12 cars in other events.

Ah alright. Well pretty strange the PS5 should be able to handle it like it's nothing, but probably bad optimization from PD then. Thanks all for responding.

It is weird. It's also intermittent. I'll do a bunch of laps and it's fine and then all of a sudden on one lap through the leaves it'll start to churn like a mofo for a couple seconds.
 
Funny thing is I have a standard ps4 slim running GT7 and I do not have this frame rate drop on Trial Mountain, I used to see it at a certain place in Spa but not anymore...
 
Yeah it is quite distracting after exiting the tunnels with multiple cars when the sun is low and shadows are tall, all of the cars headlights get turned on when going into tunnels, it also seems to be more severe in bumper and chase cam I feel (base PS5) I sometimes go back to the base PS4 and it seems mostly fine over there, but the one track where I think performance is generally at it’s lowest is Catalunya at night. The reason why is probably because all of the cars headlights are illuminating the track instead of just your own car and or maybe one or two other cars as on most tracks. On the base PS4 and PSVR2 only your car is illuminating the track.
