I was reading the League of Legends forums and wondered why there was no ranking system for online competition in GT. Everybody in ranked LoL has an ELO based on their respective skill and are matched with people in their skill level every ranked game.

Why is there no such thing in GT5?

I think it'd be pretty neat to hop on and race a 10-12 person race with the results determining whom you'd be placed up against next race with a universal ranking board determining the best of the best. Obviously, the races would have to be in identical cars, randomized for flavor of course. I think this is preferable by far to the 'enter room and hope' feel of the online community so far.

As long as it's optional. I'd rather not be cut off from racing drivers better than me. Not to mention searching for opponents just adds another step, which makes it take longer to get into a race. I'm fine with the matchless system we use now, all I want is more sorting options for rooms.

I suppose the whole point of the system would be to match you up to a level where you would belong, i.e., you'd come up against scrubs only if you were a scrub yourself. You'd be theoretically in a constant state of challenge.

Barring this, additional room sorting options would be a wonderful addition.

If your talking about ranking with your A-spec level then it would unfair as most peoples A-spec level is not true their skill.
