The only way to get matte paints (excluding the two mattes from the Lexus and Mercedes) is through the bonus for every 30 cars you get, or to trade for them in the Marketplace.

Yes, it shows up when you filter your colors by "Matte".

oh sweet thanks guys

The military colors in the DLC paint pack are pretty much matte paints too. I don't know if they show up in matte when you sort though.

The Matte paints are the ones designated as a special sort of items in the game(for commemoration of GT5 or somewhat related to the notion of the director?), so are very valuable items that are hard to find, the quickest way of collecting so-called paints is probably get them at each bonus for hitting a particular number of cars you own in your garage.

While you wont get a chip for it,you can also buy the Toyota FT-86 Concept '09 in Mat Black...Looks very nice, but as I said...No chip!...👎

That is Matt Black, not Matte Black. There is a difference.

In the name and the thumbnail, yes - but on a car they look exactly the same.

A long time ago when I started playing GT5 it was important to to use the exact name, Matt Black or Matte Black, because at that time you couldn't get a Matt paint from the Lexus. You can now.

Just to clarify; none of the colors in the DLC are classifed as "matte". The military colors are all sorted as "solid" and appear to have a glossy finish. Strange, if you ask me.

I agree. You wont convince me that GT Japanese 001-C isn't a Matte Black...It looks awesome on the Mazda RX-7 TC as well as the Mazda Roadster TC...👍

Actually, the Matt is darker and Matte is more reflective. Yes, if you just want your car to be a cool looking black color, you can do that. But for trading purposes, Matte and Matt black shouldn't be mixed up.
