Max Drive USB Stick do NOT work

Just a word of warning to you all, i tested my max drive 16mb usb memory device just this second with photo mode, and sadly, it doesn't work. Although, on good news, my creative muvo mp3 player worked perfectly!!

here's my first pic!!

I sure hope it works with replays like with prologue and gt3...
Where's the problem with photo mode?

No actual problem, i gues it just works with some devices over others.

I wonder if my digital camera w/ USB interface will work as a USB memory stick

I wouldn't be surprised, as my MP3 player did :)
 
oh, thats cool! you can even see the suspension difference with the tire on the rock, dosent look like a "board". Can you make one with the 02' Mercedes Benz SL500 ??? I need a new desktop :D

I'ma have to get a new USB drive now. Dammit.

I'll keep my MaxDrive though, it's a useful gizmo.

Now where's that USB flash drive compatabilty thread...
 
I bet if you reformatted your MaxDrive to something else it would work. Knowing datel and their crappy software they probably have some odd formatting on the maxdrive USB stick...while you standard keychain USB drive is probably some standard format.....

Just an idea.

That's what I'm hoping.. I'd really rather not have to buy another USB stick when I've got a perfectly good one already. Maybe it's a Japanese thing... or USB interference from having multiple peripherals hooked up at once. I'll be busting my ass to get the thing working once I get the game.

Let me know if you figure it out...I'll be trying it as soon as I get my NTSC-J PS2 with GT4.

i'll try the same once i get my copy of GT4, tought my old Japanese ps2 had died on me... i opened it up, cleaned the lense with compressed air, and cleaned the culprit... wich from the looks of it, was a dirty part that was getting the lense stuck (the part that moves it from the start and end of the disc). so GT4... here i come, at this rate i'm gonna get it before you kensei ^_^.

seems like the Slim ps2 shortage is a worldwide thing...

Ugggh...I know. I thank New Years and Japan shutting down. I'll have my PS2 and GT4 next week!

So it's not just me then? I've been checking everyday, but Play-Asia hasn't even updated their site since beofre new year's day :( Like you said, it's looking more and more like next week at the earliest. Heck, it might be out here in the states before I get it ;)

P.S: I got bored waiting for GT4 so I went ahead and made my own copy of GT5 by placing my copy of GT2 in the same case as GT3. So far it's been pretty kick butt! :crazy:

Good idea! I forgot about my camera. If my MaxDrive stick doesn't work after formatting, I can try that. It's basically just a flash card reader after all.
