Hey GTPlanet,

We are the MaxTougeRunners86. We make Hot Version style battles on Gran Turismo so we do races such as Touge Showdown and Tuner Battles on tracks. This channel only consists of two members at the minute which is me and TakumiFuji01.

Our first video is a battle of the Godzillas. I'm piloting the MiNE'S Skyline BNR34 GTR and TakumiFuji01 is driving his MCR R34 GTR Replica. This is a Tsukuba 5 Lap battle with a rolling start.

Our settings were:

Tyres: Sports Soft
TC: 3
ABS: 1
Damage: Visual and Light Mechanical Damage
Wheel:
Ericiscoollike: Logitech Driving Force GT, Simulation, Power Assist Off
TakumiFuji01: Logitech G27, Simulation, Power Assist On

I hope you enjoy our first video and be sure to leave suggestions for what battles we should do as well. Thanks

The driving could use some improvement, don't you think?

I could see some taps, tire burning, wrong line, and some off-track action in there. Those poor R34's :(

Also, TCS doesn't simulate ATTESA-ETS.

The ATTESA-ETS lays in the stock differential.

What was the fastest laptime?

My question is, how where the cars locking up their tires on S3 tires, abs 1, and tcs3???

Hei
My question is, how where the cars locking up their tires on S3 tires, abs 1, and tcs3???

That's not lock up, that's the outer front tyres being 'overloaded', normally happens when you brake a bit too late. The smoke you saw from mid-corner onwards was probably the same, only difference being the cause of it, which is the driver turning too hard (only happens with wheel users, it seems).

Also, as Mat mentioned, the general belief is that the GT-R's stock 4WD diff and torque split is the ETS thing, and GT5's TCS is the same TCS you get on all other cars.

By the way, at the 3rd/4th lap where Tak was getting overtaken on the back straight, did he shove the Mines off the track or was it just a very ballsy move taken by the driver himself? If it's the latter, man you have some guts.

Okay there Mr.Professional, have it your way Mat, BTW the ATTESA-ETS Pro system is actually a TCS system too(facts from forums and friends who own Skylines) and it doesn't matter what kind of line people take because I personally do not believe in 'style'. Because of 'styles', people are separated. They are not united together because styles became law. When I mean by that in Short Form, I mean I believe in my own type of technique. And what's wrong with off-track action? What is this? A formal type of take? I'm not in this world to live up to your expectations and you're not in this world to live up to mine.

It's good to see the people from the Showdown got some hate on me especially Oni(Onboy), hehe. If you(OnBoy) still wanna write up your little essay paragraph for how I piss you off and why I should apologize, etc. go ahead but I'm ain't even gonna look at a single thing you type, China Boy, especially writing a paragraph of yourself. A quick temper will make a fool of you soon enough. *Flicks nose*

Who told you that the ATTESA-ETS system was a form of TCS? They clearly dont know what they are talking about, much like yourself.

Everybody has a driving style, like we discussed with TrialMountain mamy years ago in the GT PSP forum. You seem to brake as late as possible, turn and mash the throttle with no finesse, where as someone like me modulates the braking, turns in smoothly and accelerates out. Makes the car react better and makes for faster lap times. Maybe that would explain your lackluster performance in Touge Showdown.

Too late for yourself.

Cool video!

Who told you that the ATTESA-ETS system was a form of TCS?

Maybe the name?

(Advanced Total Traction Engineering System)

I'm an expert in READING and this seems like a solid point.

Carry on, gentlemen.

But that isn't how ATTESA-ETS works, it manages power from wheel to wheel whenever the 16 bit computer senses loss of traction. It isn't a electronic traction control system, its a 4wd/L.S.D system, that manages power from wheel to wheel.

Okay there Mr.Professional

I'll take that as a compliment.

The GT-R has the ATTESA-ETS Pro installed in the stock differentials. Once you replace the differentials, they're gone. Using the TCS in GT5 as a substitute fails to simulate that. In fact, the TCS only drags it down.

The ATTESA-ETS system is a form of traction control. However, the TCS in GT5 doesn't work like the ATTESA system.

and it doesn't matter what kind of line people take because I personally do not believe in 'style'. Because of 'styles', people are separated. They are not united together because styles became law.

Where do you get this from? If a person chooses to drive with his own style, then there's nothing you can do about it. Why do you care if a person has a different style? Not everyone is supposed to be the same.

When I mean by that in Short Form, I mean I believe in my own type of technique.

Riiiight, because hogging the entire inside lane of a corner is advantageous compared to the outside, inside, outside?

I'm merely trying to say your driving could use some improvement. If you won't take my word for it, then that's your decision.

And what's wrong with off-track action? What is this? A formal type of take?

Suppose you place yourself in a race of professionals, and you constantly go off-track... What do you think would happen?

The road was built for a reason, and that's for you to drive on it; not fly off it constantly.

I'm not in this world to live up to your expectations and you're not in this world to live up to mine.

It was my opinion. You're not forced to follow it. But I see you were clearly affected by it.

It's good to see the people from the Showdown got some hate on me especially Oni(Onboy), hehe. You still haven't figured it out, have you? You really wanna know the reason the people from "Touge Showdown" hate you? You're the one that took advantage of my showdown, turning it into a disaster, with your R1.

You :censored:ed up T200, and just blamed us for pressuring you. When Rob joined the series as a judge, you got pissed then left even without an apology.

Arguing is pointless. Talking won't settle everything. If you want, I'm free for a battle. We'll settle it there. I'll let you decide the track. You can even use your R1. After that, we can finally leave each other alone.

WAHHH, TAK'S SOO MEAN, HE CALLED ME A BULLY (among other things…Oni fits, I guess)! *sob*

Nah, don't worry Tak, no matter how many petty insults and racial slurs you throw at us, we'll always be here to put you right at the end.

A quick temper will make a fool of you soon enough. *Flicks nose*
Right back at you. 👍

No matter how you look at it, we were only offering you a second point of view on your work, we've not said one word which was was either out of line or wronging you. You go and flip out at us for that, which you have, you're just gonna get yourself in trouble.

I guess it controls traction, but it's getting to apples and oranges now.

Not even a form of Traction Control?

Though it may not be electronic traction control, it is still a method of controlling traction. To me, it can be considered a form of traction control.

Hei
I guess it controls traction, but it's getting to apples and oranges now.

If it's a way of controlling traction, how is it an orange instead of an apple?

As in one cannot replace the other. TCS cannot replaces ATTESSA.

Traction Control: (http://www.howstuffworks.com/28000-traction-control-explained.htm)

In modern vehicles, traction-control systems utilize the same wheel-speed sensors employed by the antilock braking system. These sensors measure differences in rotational speed to determine if the wheels that are receiving power have lost traction. When the traction-control system determines that one wheel is spinning more quickly than the others, it automatically "pumps" the brake to that wheel to reduce its speed and lessen wheel slip. In most cases, individual wheel braking is enough to control wheel slip. However, some traction-control systems also reduce engine power to the slipping wheels.

ATTESA-ETS Pro: (http://reviews.cnet.com/2300-10863_7-10007878-14.html)

Power flows out of the engine, down longitudinal driveshaft to the transmission located on the rear axle. Here the ATTESA-ETS decides on the power split and can send as much as 50 percent of available torque (or as little as 2 percent) back to the front axle via a second driveshaft. At both ends of the vehicle, torque is also split laterally between the left and right wheels by a differential: an open differential on the front axle and a computer controlled limited-slip differential at the rear that's integrated into the body of the transmission for maximum responsiveness.
Essentially, the GT-R is a RWD car that can become AWD when needed. It also carries the distinction of being the only rear transaxled AWD car in production today.

While both are forms of controlling traction, each works in different ways, from my understanding.

We understand that they work differently but both are forms of traction control since they control traction.

I said ATTESSA can replace TCS?

This?

This isn't a thread for arguing about how the ATESSA system works. This is a thread for just showcasing videos. If you dont like the video, walk on.

Nice video! Both of you looked determined to win, no matter what the cost. :sly:👍
