I've run this for PR's challenge all ready.
RX-7 1:47.474
RX-8 1:43.958
I could probably post a faster time.
But this comp was limited to 330 absolute max HP.

Read the whole post:

PunkRock has a comp going with cars under 2.0 liters displacement. I ran the first race, then had to drop out of the comp. It just Happened to be R246.
He said mods were unlimited. HP limited to 325-330.
My RX-8 has right at 330 HP.

Actually, this track looks very easy. But, if you want to go really fast you have to be fairly precise with car placement and following the line, at the proper speed.
The scary thing for/to me, was that I wasn't that close to the fastest of the racers. I came in fifth.
Somebody swept us by several seconds in a TommyKaira ZZ-s.
I can't remember who though.

EDIT:
I went and checked, it was Ed99 with a 1:38.xxx

Okay GTS-R man,
I went back and HP'd up my RX-8 and ran R246. As you said you had more HP than my 330. I didn't want you to be at an unfair advantage.
I'll wait to see some times before I reveal what I ran.😈

Don't worry Boom, you'd be proud of me...right up till you cut 3 seconds off my time.

I read your post in the Skyline challenge thread.
You just need to PRACTICE.
Then PRACTICE some more.
The signs that indicate how many meters away the turns are make good brake markers. Just Start at the 100m sign and then start braking after it until you fly off the track in to the grass or the wall.
Start in something slow, like RX-8 without power mods, but all suspension mods made so that you can work on figuring out "lines" at a relatively low speed.
The Skill will come, if you put in the work.

I did.
1:34.346. I never really got a lap I'm happy with yet.
However, at this time I've lost the PS2 to one of my kids.
So I'll get to it later.

We shall see. I am discovering that my strength is FR cars and MR cars. In GT3 4WD cars give me fits. GT2 4wd cars were much easier to deal with.

RX-8: 515 HP
RX=7 (FD3S) the newer "7": 709 HP.
I just couln't get a perfect lap with it. I was trying to drive too fast. I imagine excercising a little patience and slowing down will cut some time off.

I haven't had a chance to run this yet. I ended up having to go to work today due to a small fire at the hotel!:fire: (And NO! Not a fire related to the kitchen either!:chef: )

At least I'll have tomorrow off still. I hope.

OK. After 3 laps I got a 1'31".235 in a RX-7 Type RZ (J) 691 HP.
