I was wondering if the Mazda Furai would be a good car to use for b-spec Nurburgring 24 hours. Bob would be driving it so I'm curious if it would hold up well with the other LMP cars. If you guys think it's a bad idea then I'll switch to my backup car which is the Peugeot 908. Thanks in advance for helping out.

LOL, just use the FGT or Rebull car since its bob doing the driving.

IMO: unless you're going to play with the pace settings for 24 hours, I don't think Bob will naturally keep up. He'll get too cool and relaxed. A-spec; you'll do just fine, B-spec; Bob will require constant attention. ---I wouldn't do it.

Not 100% true:sly:

If it's a completely red driver(s) with the pace cursor at the extreme right, then you can do this:

Get a keyboard>start race>select pace up>find object to hold down "Enter" or key that is equivelant to "X">check if driver can handle pace>let it sit>win!

The furai handles BETTER than LMPs, the only part you would have much trouble with is the long straight before the start line. I would tune for highest speed possible outside the long straight.

I don't want to use an FGT or X2010 because I just feel that it takes away from the racing. I like to use a car that can give me a good race but still keep it real. Don't really know if you guys understand but I like to use something that is in the same class or close in terms of performance (of course with a few mods so bob can at least win). I just thought the Furai would be a good choice since the Nurb is more corners than straights like La Sarthe.

I'm sorry but this makes zero sense. Its b-spec, why bother being competitive?

Best suggestion, turn off pit stratigy, bob will pit on his own, pic the fastest car you have.He will finish well ahead of them.IUf you have an x1,FGT, or minolta, let bob rip on those. He will destroy them.Make sure to turn off pit stratigy,I personally used 2 bobs for that race, and used my x1.They finished like 50 laps ahead of 2nd place.Unless your gonna sit there and watch all 24hrs and wanna keep hitting "pace up" or "pit", have fun, lol. And there is no " takes away from racing " in bspec.Let your bob rip and crush them.

Use the FGT - Your own personal B-Spec fire-and-forget missile! Bob won't even need headlights for the nighttime section! 👍

Don't know how to put it best but I like to use cars that are the same class as the AI. You know, like in real life? Run LMP cars with other LMP cars etc, etc. That's why I'm asking if the Furai is any good. I don't exactly know why myself but that's just how I feel about it. Using an FGT or X2010 makes me uncomfortable for some reason like it's not even racing anymore.

I used a McLaren f1 in le mans and it won. The furai is very agile, it turns better than the lmp/group c cars

I get it for aspec. But just cant wrap my head around it for bspec. Too each there own. Sorry i couldnt help.

You could run a couple laps ir the first pit cycle and see how it works out

There is another huge adavntage to the Furai on the 'Ring: it is super light and therefore its tires last 2-3times as long.
I used the Furai for B-Spec 4h Nürburgring, and Bob pitted every 8 laps (!).

A-spec in the Furai, Noooo way it dont have lights. LOL

OP give bob a FGT or X2010. The Furai is a great car but not for bob in this race.

IMHO, to keep it real, use Toyota minolta 88c. First, it shld be able to trounce the AI without problem even in b spec (I used that for 24hr Le man b spec) Second, it is not unreal like FGT or X1. Third, it is not a concept car like Furai which is slightly unreal. Fourthly it has headlight for night drive. Fifth, u shld already have it from 'like the wind' and dun need irreversible tuning to win. Last, it shld be a fairly similar class to the rest with a little extra oomph so that 24 hr of electricity is not wasted. Downside is the engine may need overhaul thereafter to get back the hp. Good luck with watever u choose. Let us know if it's any good.

Villain, I am serious. Go check it out it has no headlights.

Isn't there something in the AUP about posting false information....?

I did Le Mans 24 hours with my Bob and just left him and he won easily.(in a PD F1)

As i said go and try it THEY DO NOT WORK you cannot see a bloody thing. Go take it round the ring at night and show the recording on here you will not see any form of light eminating from the car to lighten the road, the only light you will get is of driving line if you select it. I know i entered a night race online DOH.

Anybody go try this on the ring you will have a ball without the driving line on, trust me.

Even in that picture you can see that those things-that-look-like-they-should-be-headlights are not actually casting any light in front of the car.

I raced a guy in one once in a race that turned dark and he had to wait for me to catch up so he could use my headlights to drive by.

I've been told the RX-7 LM race car is the same way, "headlights" on the car but not producing any light, but I haven't tried to drive mine at night yet to say for sure.

Curious!...If you're the one with the headlights why is he waiting for you?...Shouldn't you have been waiting for him?...:sly:

So the driver in the Furai can follow Morgoth's tail lights. 💡

Furai lights do not light up the track, I found this out at La Sarthe in arcade mode...

The Peugeot 908's high beams are just terrible along with the Furai's lack of illumination.

Accelerated timescale at the Ring. Started in the evening and was dark by about 2/3 of the way around. It was a while ago so I don't remember whether my car just couldn't keep up or if I messed up early in the lap(that almost NEVER happens! :D ). Once it got dark I started gaining by leaps and bounds, then once I got close, he could drive again. Pretty sure he did end up using my taillights for light by the end that time though.

I know that Morgoth_666...I was just having fun with the mental picture of a car with no headlights being faster than you WITH headlights and therefore having to wait for you...I just, initially, saw humour in that...:)

Give it a go, i've seen a tuned furai keep up with the R8 racers at 24h le mans, so it shouldnt be too difficult with a slightly tuned one.

Hey thanks for all the replys guys! I already know that the Furai doesn't have working lights (the reason why I'm having bob drive it). I was just wondering if it could do well since like I said, the Nurb is more corners than straights so top end speed doesn't matter quite as much (plus my Furai is fully tuned with everything). It also weighs a lot less than the other LMP cars so I thought that it could hold up against them well even though it has less power.
