Ok, just try this. By the most expensive maita and fully modd it, if u cant mod it (it might be a normal car only race) then just buy it. Then Just race. Do atleast 5 laps. Notice that your only compition pits every 3 laps so there is no compition. Belive me, its easy.

Yea you can only use one of the four Miatas and it has to be in stock form (however, you can buy a different tire compound, and you can also perform an oil change). I did this race last night and used the '89 Miata with Sports Tires and lapped each opponent once.

Ya that was how i did it. Bought the newest miata and just raced it.

I think the medium tires are perfect for long races. They provide really good grip but don't wear very fast.

If this is the race at Apricot Hill you can only change the tires and the oil. I used the one that started with the most HP. I don't know if I had the lowest P/W ratio.
You can win this one on pit strategy. Get the racing slicks. Pit about every ten laps. Stay consistent with your lap times and you will win. It's unfortunate that there is only a 25% chance of winning the F1 car.

Here's what I did. Mazda MX-5 LS (Won from golds on License test).

ASM 5
TCS 2

Oil Change, and medium-slick tires

I pitted on laps: 8, 16, 24 and 32
AI Pitted on laps: 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, 27,30,33,36 and 39

Encountered lap traffic on lap 20

MX-5 LS + 1 lap
MX-5 1.8 + 2 laps
MX-5 1.8 + 2 laps
MX-5 + 2 laps
MX-5 + 2 laps

Best Lap : 1’40.118
Total Time: 70’12.685
Average Lap: 1'45.317

And I walked away with a 100,000 and a Green Miata!

Take it nice and smooooooth and you'll come out on top.

how did u know its an '89 miata. i cant find where it says the year of the car model. perhaps you know its an '89 from personal knowlege?

Going back and checking the specs on my Miata, I have found that it was actually the '93 version. If you read the first 2 sentences in the bit of info that scrolls across the bottom of the screen when you highlight the '93 Miata (the second car in the dealership, the one that costs $16,900), you will see:

"The Eunos Roadster (Mazda Miata in US),which appeared in '89 to accolades throughout the world, faced a weight increase in order to satisfy ever-stricter saftey standards. In order to compensate, changes were made in August 1993 to boost the displacement of the powerplant to 1.8 liters."

You won't be able to tell the difference between the two in appearance, but if you go to the specs of the car you will be able to tell the difference. The '89 Miata weighs in at 940kg and has a 1.6 liter engine outputting 118hp. The upgraded '93 Miata is slightly heavier at 980kg, but has a 1.8 liter enging outputting 128hp.
