**USING STREET SOFT TIRES -- PLEASE CHANGE TIRE WEAR SETTINGS TO STRONG.**

The Race Weekend:

The race will be run in Arcade Mode - Single Race. The race will be a 20 Lapper around Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. We will run a Friday Test session, a Saturday Qualifier and a Sunday race. The competition will take one week to complete (with certain "due dates" for session times), but I have yet to choose a date to start the competition on.

Friday Practice:
This will be the first opportunity to see how drivers and cars stack up. Lap times will be entered and I will post the leader board. At this point, if anyone is far off pace, or if any car is far off pace, the appropriate changes will be made. Run up to 20 laps, please send me your lap times so I can decide how quick you and your car is on a consistent basis over the twenty lap period (i.e. the total time run during the race.) Run this event in the Single Race mode. This event may be restarted if you want to make a change to "Top Speed" setting, if available.

Saturday Qualifying:
The results of this event will determine the starting grid for Sunday's main event. The grid will be straight forward, fastest to slowest with second place and back having .100 added to their first lap time, to simulate grid realism.
Ex. 2nd +.100 3rd +.200 4th +.300 etc.
You will run 5 laps, record each lap time and send your report in. Your fastest lap will determine starting position. This session will be run in Time Trial. You want the track to yourself, here... you have five laps (all to be recorded and sent in) to get the perfect lap.

Sunday Race:
Twenty laps around the fun and challenging Laguna Seca Raceway. A mandatory pit stop must be completed. (Please include the lap you pitted on in your race report.)

Example Race Report:

Lap -- Lap Time
1. -- x'xx.xxx
2. -- x'xx.xxx
3. -- x'xx.xxx
4. -- x'xx.xxx
5. -- x'xx.xxx

19. -- x'xx.xxx
20. -- x'xx.xxx

TOTAL RACE TIME: xx'xx.xxx

You will be classified by your total race time.

Rules:

I will amend or expand upon the regulations if someone feels the need for it.

Use the cars outlined in this post. Set them up to the weight and horsepower settings to be determined and found in this post. Rumble strips are definitely part of the track. Sports Soft tires will be used. As for the "Top Speed" setting (if adjustable) play around with it during Friday Practice. Tire wear settings in the options menu will be set to strong. AI Strength will be set to 10. The normal OLR standards will be considered to apply to this race but with a more relaxed enforcement than "usual" because of the "Friendly" atmosphere of the event. It is expected that a driver will not be ramming the AI, cutting every corner and riding every wall but it is accepted that occasional brushes, taps and cuts will happen. We will run the race in the confines of the Honor System. I.e. the qualification period can be run only once, the race can be run... only once. If you make a mistake "Oh well!" It's just an exhibition race anyway. NO replay files will be required UNLESS a driver protests another driver's performance, so if possible save and be prepared to send your replay file in. (It is not necessary to have replay saving and transferring ability because I don't expect to receive complaints about a driver, especially considering this is an exhibition race.)

*AGAIN -- HORSEPOWER and WEIGHT SETTINGS HAVE YET TO BE DETERMINED!!!*

Conclusion:

If you are interested, post here with thoughts and feelings on the event. To confirm entrance into the race, Private Message (PM) me with the following information.

Driver Name:
Car:
Number:
Class:
Team Name:

Currently, I feel as if this post is straight forward and includes all available information on the race. If any questions, comments or suggestions arise, post here and I will EDIT this post or respond to your post to allow for everyone to have all information. "Guess those hippies got something right, huh?" (Freedom of Information act.) <-- To an extent MUHAHA! But that's another story.

EDIT: ST1 HP and KG Numbers have been added and confirmed.

I suppose. But it is relatively straight forward and will be easy for the competitors to run in, and I'm sure I don't have to mention it will be very fun!

I'll admit it sounds fun and simulates a real race weekend, but I can't commit as I am concentrating on loosing the F1 series right now:)

Maybe I shouldn't be so hastey, but I appear to recieving few thoughts and feelings on the series. Maybe I could put it to you this way, what kind of a race do you guys wanna run? I think I'll pull back the idea of a Super Taikyu weekend for now and check out the kinds stuff you guys may be interested in and see if we can't go from there.

It is a good idea, right now though I think there is a great deal of stuff going on around this board. DTM, F1, JGTC and WRS are kinda on-going series and the lads that race in them seem to be very dedicated to there various leagues. Wait a while and repost this thing just as you have it now and i'd say some guys will bite!
