Well, as some of you know, I'm going on vacation!

I'll be leaving St.Louis on Monday(July 22) and be back on Friday(July 26). I'm going to the Lake of the Ozarks. Bringing my half working PS2(plays GT3 and GTA3, that's all I need)down there, but no computer access(unless they have a PC at the hotel I'm staying at). My bro is driving his MX-6 down there, and my parents are taking either the MPV or the 323(normally we take the MPV, but since my bro will have his car, we might not need it). If we take the 323, I'll be doing a lot of the driving, and if we take the MPV, I'll probably go with my brother, cause that's always fun(last day of summerschool, on the way there, we raced one of his friends in an A4, and we won...it was an awsome race).

I'll be going on all of the go-carts I can, and doing 10cent Skeeball, and bumpercars at this place at the end of the strip(right before Bagnell Dam), and staying at the ex-Howard Johnson's(now it's a Baymont) at the beginning of the strip. Me and my bro will have a room that is connected to my folks, and I think that the rooms have office chairs in them(the adjustable chairs...hours of fun spinning on them and going up and down and rolling around)and I think 27" TVs. The TVs probably have those god damn freakin crap black things over the connections so that you can't plug in your own thing, that was untill the Maz family figured out that with a nife, you can widen the black things and either slip them down the wires or use them to undo the wires, or take a pair of cutters and break them off and throw them away(the Holiday Inn in Chicago by the Navy peir has a room missing these, and so does an AmeriSuites right outside of Cleveland OH, and about 3 other hotels along the way, my dad always brings a tool set just incase of a car problem or anything, and there hasn't been a TV in a hotel that we stayed at that we haven't been able to use my PS2(or even PSX from several years ago)on).

Yea this thread might be too early cause I'm leaving on Monday...just giving a heads up.

The Mazda Association Zone is being taken care of by Powerman and Viperman, and I just want everyone to make sure it stays spam and problem free till I get back.

Ohh and if someone takes the liberty of summing up events(people being banned, comments about me, Mazda related threads, ect)in this thread like every day that I'm gone, that would be really nice of you.

That's about it...I was going to get an arial view of where I'm staying, but I can't get a single address in the area to work...

Anyway, I'll be on as much as I can before I leave...

I will Troy, the Ozarks are awsome...we knew(might still know) the guy at that bumpercar place I mentioned above, and last time I was there (1999) the guy let us ride for a half hour or more, until people came that wanted to ride also. We spent the time having head on hits, racing around the track, doing reverse donuts, it was awsome.

There's several go cart places there, 1 is called "NasCart"and the cars are really fast, and the track is challenging, bumpy, slick, and just a riot to drive on. When I was there last time, I drifted around every corner, and then on the last lap, coming around the last turn, I was racing my bro for the lead, I did a 360(I wiped out cause it's so slick), my bro tryied to pass me on the outside, and then as I came back around the right way, my car slid into my bros, slamming him into the wall as I sped off an took the win...we laughed about that forever...

Hehe, I've had to partially destroy a TV in this Best Western hotel we were staying coming home from Italy once to get my PS2 hooked. :D

As for vacation, there won't be any for me this summer. :(

I literally can't afford to take 2 or 3 weeks off because I'm in the middle of my karting season (the Belgian nationals). My parents are probably going away a week together and my brother is away with some of his friends while I'll be stuck at home with probably an au pair or something...

Anyway, enjoy your vacation MazKid! ;)

By the way, I love NAS carts - they had some in AZ the last time I went. I won't even get in to the stories I've got (in the end they kicked me off the ride and asked me to leave the park).

Anyway, I was only kicked off go carts ones at this Swing Around Fun Town place in STL...at the time, I was too short to ride(I was like an inch too short)but the guy let me on...then he was leaving, and this other guy took over and wouldn't let me on, so I tryied to get on several times, and finally he let me take a "test" lap, making sure I could drive...so I was pissed off a lot, I went around the track with it floored the whole way, drifting all over the track, driving 1 handed, and then they set up a slowam(sp?) for me to go though, and then I needed to stop before hitting one of the officials there. So I go full speed through the slowam, and lock up the tires and stop an inch from the guy(he jumped out of the way really fast, but I wouldn't have hit him. So he finally let me drive, after reading the rules to me in this slow voice like I'm retarded or something, and that pissed me off more. So I start, I'm being as aggressive as possible, cutting people off, getting people loose, and finally the run was over, and I go into the pits full speed, locked up the tires, and slamed really hard into the parked cars, and I jumped out and walked away as they yelled at me...

Never been back there...
 
yea it was funny...I was still pissed, but I laughed afterwards. Just think of what they musta thought "This kid is gonna kill someone!" .

I shoulda told the manager about what happened...that was hight discrimination...the guy saw me riding them before, and then he just wouldn't let me on again...ahh well.

I go on vacation 2 days after my birthday (next Monday) to Atlanta to stay for a week with my Aunt and Uncle. They are the best!! I get to buy around 4 video games when I'm up there just because its right after my birthday. And they're both really into computers and are always helping me out and hooking me up with some free stuff.

Then, in October, I head to California (ALL the way accross the country) and stay in a ski resort for a week or so. I hope I have as much fun as it sounds like you're gonna have MazKid!
 
Wow sounds fun Kosmic, 2 vacations in 1 year(or more than 2...).

We usually go on one in the summer, and but sometimes there's a very slight chance that we could go with my dad to Chicago or KC when he has Subaru or Mazda(respectivly to the locations I mentioned)training. when I was in 6th grade we went to Chicago(where we began the art of Illegal TV usage lol)for 4 days, missed 2 days of school which I did the homework for while up there...most of the time it's my mom going with my dad, and me and my bro staying home...

And 1 time a housecleaning lady confronted us about the TV, and we said that they were missing when we got there...(we lie a lot...)

I explicitly violated the rules of the place - some idiot kids were in the park ahead of me in line and naturally I get the karts right in front of them! Long story short, they ganged up on me and at the end of the ride when we're all supposed to be slowing down in to the pits, I rammed him as hard as the kart would go (violating the 'no ramming' rule). :D

That was two springs ago (I went down there for Rockies Spring Training), and I've still got a huge mark on my back from where I slammed back into the apex of the back side of the seat of the kart.

And I've been almost kicked out of other ones, like at this Bascher Town go cart track(old style, huge track, no walls(exept in the corners), no operator controls, cars are just the cassis(no bodys))out in the boonies(well it's St.Charels, but this of STC is rural to an extent), one time I got a slow cart, so here I am, the slowest on the track, so I start weaving side to side, I had my bro push me on one of the straits, but then he passed me, so it's the end of the run, there's a guy that stands up on the track before the pits with a stop sign, and everyone had to stop there on the track. So everyone is stoped, but I'm still on that strait going slow as hell with it floored, and I slam on the brakes and go sideways, making a huge screatching sound, and I stop there infront of the guy, and me and my bro just started laughing our heads off. So then we go again, this time I got a fast cart, same with my bro, and we decide to bump eachother and try to push the other one on the grass. so we did that, and then I found the throttle cable, but I didn't tell my bro, so he started pulling up next to me, and I pull the cable and speed off, and then I slow down so he catches up and he was like "What the hell?!" and then I told him(as we were going) and we both started pulling the cables to go faster, we were even able to drift around the corners and stuff...

great times...

Well, I'm still here...got most of my stuff packed up(PS2 packed up, clothes waiting to be packed(cause my dad is currently using the suitcase I want(he was in Ohio for the motorcycle thing in Mid Ohio, he's on a plane about now...)).

Me, my mom, and my bro are gonna have all of our stuff ready so that my dad has no excuse to get his stuff together...

We're going to try to leave STL at around 11AM, get something to eat on the way, and get to the hotel and hopefully they will have our room ready...

So...umm...I'll be on now...maybe later tonight, and maybe in the morning before we leave.

well I said that this is the last time on GTP, not the last post!

Still got a good while before everyone else has their stuff packed...I have all of my stuff together and ready, the others are lagging as usual, but everything is going smoothly and on schedual...
 
Well, I got to get off the computer...so this is the last post here till I get back in 4 days.

Can someone(Loud, RUF, Josh, ect.) post any events, Mazda threads, anyone mentioning me, ect., here in this thread so I'm up to date when I get back here, that would help a ton.

See you guys in 4 days, keep this place going, and I'll tell all of my stories here when I get back.
