Billed as an extreme version of the Evantra, the Millecavalli is the latest exotic machine to wear the Tuscany manufacturer's Mazzanti badge.

Its world premiere, made at the 2016 Turin Auto Show, follows a series of ten teaser videos, during which we learned that it is the most powerful road-legal hypercar to ever come out of Italy, eclipsing the Ferrari LaFerrari's 950 HP and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque.

Power comes from a new 7.2-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, pumping out 1,000 HP and 1,200 Nm (885 lb-ft) of torque, channeled to the rear wheels through a six-speed sequential gearbox. Tipping the scales at 1,300 kg (2,866 lbs), the hypercar is capable of sprinting from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 2.7 seconds and it can reach 250 mph (402 km/h). Developed specifically for the automaker by Brembo using motorsport technology, the carbon ceramic brakes are so powerful it can bring it to a halt from 300 km/h (186 mph) in 7 seconds.

The Mazzanti Evantra Millecavalli currently on display at the Italian automotive event is actually a prototype, but the manufacturer promises to roll off 25 examples, out of which three have been already been sold since the planning phase.
