This is my first post and I wanted to make a thread dedicated to what is in my opinion the most insanely gorgeous car to ever be built. So if anyone has any photos of this car than please post them. I would really love to see some amateur photos of one on the road or something. I doubt it concidering there are only 3 of them in the world one of which is still owned by Mclaren, but I can still dream. I posted my favorite photo og the Longtail below, I am a big fan of all Mclaren F1s but this one is uncomparable.
 
The ones that were converted to street use by McLaren are pretty cool.

I always loved a longtail variant of this F1..the short one's weren't my thing.

My first love with the Longtail was in Need For Speed High Stakes, the PlayStation version, mind you. The sound, the body...it was a legendary car, in all ways.

These actually aren't street legal. It was posted long ago that the conversion process for the Long tails is much more complicated than it is for the other GTRs due to being a race car first before being built as a road car (GT). To this day, all the '97 chassis' are still in their original race ready state unlike the '95-'96 units.
 
Somebody finally replied to this guy 8 years later... If they had in 2006 this guy might have stuck around on GTPlanet.

I do agree with him; the McLaren F1 was a beautiful car.

I was looking through old threads and I saw this and, liking McLaren, replied to it, rather than making a whole new thread about the F1 Longtail.
