So i've been wondering, do you think they will add the Mclaren P1 to GT6?

the main reason i ask this is because, when in the Mclaren shop, there are empty boxes. in fact for most car shops there are blank box's leaving the assumption they will add more cars from that brand into the selection.

I really hope they add more, do you think it would be in DLC or as casual updates as they come?

I really hope it will be added more than anything in the world!

But I doubt it. Hope I'm wrong.

It's the star car of Forza 5, so I don't know. They took out the TopGear TT (most probably) because TG has an agreement with Forza now. What MS want, MS gets...

In the best of cases, it'll be available in a payed DLC later on.

I'd have to agree with PZKPFW, considering its with Forza, highly unlikely it'll be in gt6. Same with Porches and their partnering with EA I believe.

But, NFS rival have the P1 that's not exclusive to Forza 5.

Well...in that case... maybe I'd give it a 50 50 chance, I still don't feel like GT6 would focus on the P1. They prob. focus on the "vision grand truismo" portion of the game. Because, as you saw there release of the FT-1, more are prob. to come. And the P1 is "old" in a way if they'd wanted it they would prob. have had the car in the game at launch.

I'm curious if this is the first GT game you've played or how long you've played GT? Not to be rude that is.

The GT-R R35 was on GT5 Prologue's cover, same goes for the SLS with GT5, it doesn't actually mean anything.

Also, the BBC are owned by the government and taxpayers, I don't think they're allowed to sell exclusive rights to locations (although the stars of Top Gear are allowed to refuse to work for a company, they're not slaves (yet ;))), it's just that PD would have to pay whatever MS did, which, as you rightly implied, would be a lot.

That's the only way to gain 'exclusivity', unless the BBC drop the licence fee*. There'd be too big a backlash, otherwise, seeing as they would be turning down free money, but still demanding we pay their wages.

*Mandatory payment to watch television in this country, enforced by the government. It mostly goes towards funding the BBC's programming.

P.S. Sorry for the essay. :)

You're right. Though I think TopGear is a trademark... is it not? And as such, even though they cannot sell rights to places, it can associate them with this trademark (please correct me if I'm wrong).

Yeah, that they should be able to do, but GT could use the track as Dunsfold Park without much of an issue, although there should still be a fee.

As of now, T10 said they have no interest in exclusive licensing deals. I'd rather say that PD hasn't renewed their licensing deal with BBC Worldwide or the Dunsfold Aerodrome because it's now the "hat" of their competitors, and decided to spend their budget on other agreements, like the one with the Instituto Ayrton Senna and the Goodwood FOS.

As for the P1: there's still none in Japan, including any eventual promo cars, and PD doesn't have a privileged collaboration with McLaren like T10 do.

I think they just left empty boxes to keep the screen filled instead of having empty space.

...totally agree with you as some companies don't have enough models to fill out their dealerships.....

This. Just because there are empty spaces doesn't mean they are going to get filled with cars. Nothing to get excited about.

ive been playing grantourismo since the first instalment. and been faithful ever since, i buy every copy of the game. except the prologues and GT academy because to me, they are like mini's and not a full fledged game.

Didn't need the full back story, just yes or no to be honest. What is strange is this is a constant format in GT games for the most part, but in respect to the only games that could have DLC (5 and 6), it is obvious they have the blanks due to formatting setup throughout the game. It's good to hope, but it is not an indicator of them being filled with cars.

LaFerrari will soon be delivered to customers. When that happens,I expect GT6 will get a digital version aswell. And logically, the P1 could come at the same time. Hopefully with the Veneno aswell...

I thought all 3 have started arriving at their owner's mansions?
