The next game in EA's Medal of Honor series is subtitled Warfighter and arrives in stores this October, so says a GameInformer report.

Citing the new issue of Official Xbox Magazine's cover story, it claimed that the game will be developed in its entirety by Danger Close.

DICE developed the multiplayer for the 2010 series reboot but the Swedish studio apparently has no involvement this time around. However, the game will be built on its Frostbite 2.0 engine.

A full reveal is expected at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco early next month.

I enjoyed Medal of Honor (2010), so I'm looking forward to this. It's being released in October 2012. 👍

I too enjoyed MoH 2010, it's so rare to find a modern warfare shooter that DOESN'T involve you being a one man army who saves the world from a nuclear war caused by a Russian with some suitcase nukes or something to do with an EMP. It was Band of Brothers to MW2/BF3's Twenty Four, so I hope they stick to that theme with Warfighter.

I also hope the MP is unique enough so that you don't feel like you should just be playing Battlefield instead.

I'm looking forward to this. I really enjoyed MOH 2010. Belly Of The Beast was one of the most memorable levels/moments in a FPS for me.

This x1000
It's fun and all when you stop a nuke from annihilating the whole world, but MoH has probably the most realistic storyline out of them (along with the WWII CODs). I never had the chance to play the MP though cause I only got MoH last year 2nd hand and I'm too cheap to buy an Online Pass :p

I want a Medal of Honor more suited to how it started. In my opinion the best MoH games are from the PSOne / PS2 era. Medal of Honor Frontline is my favorite.

I'm torn between this, Black Ops II and The Last of Us. Why must I be so broke :(

Likely based on the CIA Special Activities Division, or whatever they're called these days. Just as Delta and ST6 have gone thorugh several name changes. 1st SFOD-D (Delta) became Combat Applications Group, (CAG), and then a couple years back became Army Compartmented Element (ACE). OGA is just a way let friendly units know who they are without going into the specifics. Not fictional.

Edit: Wiki has this to say:

In government and military parlance it is often used to speak euphemistically of the Central Intelligence Agency, particularly when its operations in a particular area are an open secret.

A CIA operative may have a need discreetly to reveal his or her origins; for example, if a CIA agent is embedded in a friendly military expeditionary unit, the agent will need the co-operation of the unit in order to conduct operations successfully. On the other hand, the agent must maintain as much secrecy as possible and cannot brag about his or her origins. The agent might therefore refer to him or herself as 'OGA'.

These agencies often recruit persons from special operations units in the United States military through small group meetings. Some of these units include but are not limited to Special Forces, the Navy SEALs, and the 75th Ranger Regiment.

I can't wait for this game, I loved the MoH campaign and it's better than any in the CoD or BF series, hopefully they'll stick with the realistic approach again for Warfighter. One thing they could improve on is the multiplayer though.

Is there any info on the multiplayer. Modes weapons ects........

Hopefully it will continue with the awesome gameplay from BF3.

Very much looking forward to this and The Last of Us. :D

MoH2010 is the best modern military FPS, IMO.
I really also hope they keep the cover mechanic, it's so simple yet makes the game so much better.

Looks good, but I still miss the Medal of Honor from PS1/PS2 days.
Frontline is one of my all-time favorites.

Medal of Honor Warfighter Limited Edition

Medal of Honor Warfighter Limited Edition includes an early unlock of U.S. SEAL Team Sniper equipped with the McMillan TAC-300. SEAL Snipers are universally feared for their innate ability to stalk, target and then peel apart the enemy from extreme distances while in total concealment. Combined with the lethality and surgical precision of the McMillan TAC-300, SEAL Snipers have a devastating and demoralizing effect on those who attempt to engage them.

In addition to the Medal of Honor Warfighter Limited Edition, players who pre-order through select retailers will also unlock specialty content including:

Medal of Honor Warfighter SFOD-D Pointman Pack – Gamers will unlock early the U.S. SFOD-D Point Man right when they hit the online battlefield. SFOD-D is known for speed, surprise and violence of action. The Point Man exemplifies this by assuming the inherent danger of placing himself in the first and most exposed position yet mitigates his risk with rapid speed, agility and extreme operational awareness.

Medal of Honor Warfighter Trijicon Optics 3 Pack – The Trijicon Optics 3 bundle unlocks three optics for the Heckler & Koch HK416 assault rifle, which includes the Trijicon ACOG, SRS Reflex and RMR, preparing Operators for any engagement. Trijicon’s wide range of brilliant aiming solutions fulfill the Operator’s need for both magnified, self-luminous tactical sights as well as red dot reflex sights that enhance target identification to increase hit probability in both extended-range and close quarter engagements.

Medal of Honor Warfighter British SAS Spec Ops Pack – Available via Origin.com, the British SAS Spec Ops packs provides PC gamers with an early unlock of the British SAS Spec Ops. The SAS have served as the model for modern Special Operations around the world and have been operating in covert, low visibility roles in non-permissive environments for decades. The SAS are experts in tradecraft acquired through extensive field experience in special reconnaissance, sabotage, snatch and grab and ambush often penetrating their targets completely undetected.

Medal of Honor Warfighter Digital Deluxe Pack – PC Gamers who pre-order the PC Digital Deluxe pack at $69.99 will receive all content from the British SAS Spec Ops pack as well as the Russian Spetsnaz Alfa Group Heavy Gunner. The Spetsnaz utilize and employ heavy weaponry more often than most Special Operations units. They see fire superiority as a priority in any engagement and therefore excel at suppression tactics, covering fire and support for their comrades. PC Digital Deluxe owners will also receive the digital game soundtrack for Medal of Honor Warfighter.
