I was looking around and it seems you can get this game for $20-$30. For that price I figured I might give it a try, get some trophies and maybe a few hours of enjoyment before reselling it in a month or two. Are people still playing this game online though? I don't want to buy it if its pretty much going to be a single player only experience.

I bought the game when it came out, it took about 5hrs to play the campaign and the online was garbage. I would rent it, don't buy it. Play Battlefield Bad Company 2 or wait for BF3 in October. I participated in the Beta for the game and they really fixed nothing from the Beta. If you like COD then you might like MOH because the map sizes are relatively small. Good Luck!

I liked how it looked and some of how it played, but I didn't like the M60 medics and such. I thought this game looked just different enough to be playable based on a few videos. Oh well.

I bought MoH a month ago for $20 on amazon. Didn't beat the campaign but I'm pretty far. Never played it online. I pretty much got bored and put GT5 back in lol.

You should try it again, they fixed that issue with the M60 and you are correct it was utter crap. In fact they have balanced many of the weapons, kits, vehicles in the game. They have Vietnam as a download and is alot of fun as well. I still play BC2 regularly and with many other GTP'rs such as Happy Corey, Cale, Mr.Geez, and Tommy_2000. If you try BC2 again send me a friends request, My wife, son, and I play regularly and have our own squad. There is always room for one more! I am waiting till October for BF3 to come out, currently waiting for a closed Beta key from EA for BF3!

Alright, so now I'm trying to figure out how to afford BC2. Its still $40 at gamestop. I wonder how much I could get for homefront. I really liked that game but it seems no one else did and they aren't supporting it very well.

Get this version. It has everything but the Vietnam expansion and it comes with Battlefield 1943.

Thats not a bad deal, is that a new copy? Also, I don't remember how that VIP thing worked. Is that free with a new game purchase or do I pay for that separate? When I first played the game, I had rented it back in march '10 and didn't have access.

The VIP is $14.99 but free with the game. It gives you access to extra maps and allows you to play rush, conquest, team deathmatch, etc.

Yep, the link to Amazon is a new copy. As for the VIP pass, they come with every single new copy of the game and like the poster above me stated, it gives you access to maps that were previously only used in other modes. There have been no actual new maps released, if I recall correctly.

Yes the VIP code is a must. With it there seems to be 8-10 maps for rush/conquest etc, but without it maybe 4.

But yes, if you start playing again shoot me a request, I could always use more people to play with. (It seems I always get on right after people get off, or get off right before people get one :( )

They did release two new maps...sorta. They brought Oasis and Harvest Day from the original Bad Company. They also added Heavy Metal from BC2 but was a campaign map. My favorites are still Arica Harbor for just a brutal beat down, Panama Canal, and Harvest Day. If you can get Vietnam, it is worth the $14.99. There are always good matches in BC2 still.

Strange, I heard a youtube commentator earlier in a video say the vietnam DLC was dead on the ps3. I figured it would be the other way around.

Are there a lot of people playing the vietnam DLC still?

I switch between the Vietnam and Modern maps, but there are still good matches to be found between both.

So I went to the local gamestop and found out that I'd get about $32 or so if I traded in 3 games. The guy then said that I could get an extra 40% if I waited till next month. Combine that with the extra 10% deal they're currently doing and I'd be getting cash back pretty much.

thats wierd that they would tell you that I just traded in my game and they gave 50% extra credit for each game I ended up with almost 90 bucks worth of credit

How many games did you trade? Right now they are doing a thing where every 3-5-7 games you get 10-20-30%. If only I had more games to trade! I wonder if I could find some somewhere... an extra 70% wouldn't be to bad.

OK guys, I just got back with BC2. I'll try and send out some friend requests if you don't get one send me one and I'll add you.

I'll post in the BF2 thread also.

I bought Medal of Honor a couple of weeks ago and haven't completed the story or got past rank 3 in any class in multiplayer yet. I hate the online portion of the game. It's always the same maps and it always a camp/snipe fest. Got bored of the game after a couple of days.
