Ok ive been racing the Pro races for about 3 months now and ive noticed i pit more than the other cars....

Well the Question is: do the AI cars automatically use medium tyres (the ones that come on a prize car) or do they change tyres to suit the race. Because if they all use mediums then ive got to change my driving style....... i have to Pit roughly every 5-6 laps.

This has been asked many a time. Perhaps you're better served using the Search function, mate. But...

If you watch the replay, and put the camera one one of the AI cars, you can generally tell what sort of tyre they're using by how fast it degrades.

Maybe you can start using Super-Slicks and wallride the whole track? :D

you've been in the pro series for 3 months and you havn't tried different tires yet? try the t2's and brake earlier...and how come the guys that always say "try the search engine, mate" like you're wasting valuable site space by asking a simple question, have signatures that are like reading war & peace...lol, try keeping it simple, mate :cheers:
 
AI cars don't use Medium tires by default (heck, if that were true, none of us would have ever gone past the Sunday Cup at the beginning of our GT3 careers! ;))

But anyway, you'll notice later on that some cars can last as long as 20 laps (without constantly losing traction and what not), and that's only accomplishable (is that a word?) with T2 tires.
 
afaik the AI does use other tires as well as t5 (medium). I doubt they use t2 or even t3 tires tho. i have no doubts that some use t7-8 tires tho as i have seen some AI pit after only 2 laps!

your driving style is probably hard on tires tho and you should probably go for a harder tire :)

last night i finally beat the third race in the pro mr series, the 15 lapper at midfield II (driftin' like crazy in my r-390 road car with t-2's), i took my pit stop with almost orange tires at lap 10 (i was sliding when they were green, had to do it when they got really bad), but the gt40 i was duelling with didn't come in, and took a 17 sec. lead...i got it down to 13 sec. by the 14th lap, and the dumb gt40 took a pitstop and let me win!? he had to have t-2's to last 14 laps without a pit stop...but other cars were pitting on like the 5th or 7th lap, leading me to think that in a given race, different AI cars have different tires (but you can count on the dominant, fastest one to go the farhtest without a break)...
