I'm very sorry if this doesn't belong here but i will ask anyway.
I have to buy a memory card for my PS2 that i want to use with Gran Turismo 4.
Is it worth buying a16mb one rather than a 8mb one?
Does the game store replays on the memory card?
If it does in what format does it store them? (AVI?)
How do i transfer the replay to my PC?
thank you for your time

Whatever you buy, get an official sony one.

If you have 2 memory cards, you can store replays on either.

They are stored as a series of commands that only GT4 and a PS2 can interpret. They are not stored as video files.

You can use a max drive to transfer the replays, in order to email/post here, but you can't view them on a PC as a replay.

If you want to watch the replay video on your PC, you need a TV capture card, not a max drive. More info on that in my sig.

i see...thank you for the answers.
i have a ASUS N6200. Does that have video in?
but photos are stored as jpegs right?
you can store them on a flashdrive thingy...

Yup, it's a lot better to save the photos straight to a flash drive not your memory card. the files are like 200-400kb and you'll fill your memory card up really fast. personally I'd only get one memory card unless you're planning on buying a lot of PS2 games.

As for the video card, it should say in the properties for the card or try google.

How can i delete corrupted files?

I cant get them off with the maxdrive "delete" or with the browser "delete"

Is their a way to "wipe" or "format" the memory card?

Also, if you save a photo to a memory card, and then save it to a flash drive, isn't the quality reduced compared to saving directly to the flash drive?

I found out how to format it.

In the max memory screen, you can highlight your memory card, then press square and it will format it.

GT3 is one way of getting rid of all corrupted files using the file operator for memory cards on the PS2.
