Memory Card Question

I've searched around here, and couldn't find anything so here is my question.

Is it possible to use an Old PSX memory card for loading my Gran Turismo 2 file?

If you want to play PSX games on a PS2 you will need a PSX MC.
So if you want to play GT2 on your PS2 you just insert your old PSX MC with your old GT2 savegame.

Wasn't it also possible to save PS1 saves on to the PS2 card? I'm probably wrong, but I thought I remember you could do that.

You can, but the psx game won't load unless it's from a ps1 card.
