Uh, yeah. So...
Porsche driver = wealthy, attracst lots of women and takes advantage of that = short term relationships.
Civic driver = everyday normal guy = every day normal relationships.

Nothing new here, really.

EDIT: Although I am appalled by women's attraction towards Porsche's. I share Jeremy's disdains for Porsches. :P

Jeremy actually likes Porsches now; says in his last DVD that he's acquired the taste. ;)

These kinds of studies are always a little hit-and-miss and certainly misleading, as such taste is far too subjective to quantify. It varies from location-to-location (even within the same city) and age demographic (amongst many other reasons).

A materialist person may be wowwed by a flashy car, but there are just as many women who have no interest or even look at a Porsche and think midlife-crisis/lack of confidence/flash git, no matter the reason behind driving one.

You mean he is now permanently converted by Hamster!?? Must have missed that episode. I did see the episode of Jeremy trying out a Porsche 911 for everyday practicality in contrast with the Ferrari 430, which he ended up admitting that the Porsche is the more practical car. But I was unawares of this recent conversion of his.

I still stand by my moderated contempt towards Porchas. :dopey:

Well of course it is far too subjective. But it is still fun to see a general consensus of the subjective preference of the many. It would have been nice if the article stated where the consensus took place. Based on the university, San Antonio, Texas and Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota are the most likely locations, so at most, it might reflect the tastes of those areas, and possibly, the United States (Wouldn't know how radically different the tastes between Texans and Minnesotans would be to the whole of the U.S.A. ).

And it be a good thing that there are. 👍

It came from Faux news, so probably not. Besides, I can probably attract some ***** with one of these.

Seriously, did this question really need to be researched? A Porsche shows that a man has money, so a women is going to be more attracted to the fact that he could buy her whatever she wants.

So why wouldn't she want to stay with that man?

IIRC there was a similar study with the same results regarding muscular men vs average joe.

So they researched something that anyone driving a car knew the answer to?

Of course the man driving the expensive car will more often than not get looked at.

Don't know how much was spent on this study, but a complete waste of money and time.

 It was probably carried out by grad students, their existence is to waste time and money for 2-6 years while they get their degree.

Women don't buy this crap to impress men. They buy it to impress other women; i.e. make each other jealous.

I'd say because the man in question can get himself a new girl of the same kind as soon as he's fed up with the first one.

Or they rob the poor man broke.

Exactly the same as shoes and handbags. Men don't care and hardly notice (except when they are paying ;)), but these things are important to some women, certainly mine anyway!
